Donna Reed was an American actress and producer who was born on January 27, 1921, in Denison, Iowa. She began her career as a contract player for MGM studios in the 1940s and quickly became a popular leading lady, known for her wholesome and girl-next-door image. Reed won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1953 film “From Here to Eternity” and also starred in the popular TV series “The Donna Reed Show” from 1958 to 1966. Throughout her career, she was known for her talent, beauty, and grace, and remains a beloved figure in Hollywood history. Reed passed away on January 14, 1986, in Beverly Hills, California, at the age of 64.
