refers to Marc Chagall (1887–1985), a Russian-French painter. Some of his works include blue motifs like The Blue Circus, a vibrant, floating circus scene in blue tones and Blue Lovers, embracing figures in a blue void. His works became famous and highly regarded in Japan since the mid-20th century, particularly from the 1960s onward.
