For the love of Satch & Vai 🎸

One day after my birthday, I witnessed the SatchVai tour — a once-in-a-lifetime guitar dream come true. Two legends. One stage. And a heart full of gratitude.

As for Joe Satriani, it was my very first time seeing him live. But our story goes way back.
It was 2009 — I was 19 — when I attempted to cover “Tears in the Rain” and uploaded it to YouTube.
And it all started with “Friends”, the very first track of his I heard. It opened doors to dimensions I had never imagined existed. Joe’s melodic brilliance, precision, and space-bound creativity taught me how expressive and limitless a guitar can truly be.

And Steve Vai… it was my second time seeing him. But every time feels like the first.
From the moment I discovered him in my early guitar days, his genius has always felt like a transmission from another universe — elegant, daring, spiritual. His music has been a loyal companion through the years.

Not many people know that Joe Satriani was actually the teacher of both teenage Steve Vai and Metallica’s Kirk Hammett. Standing there watching both master and student perform together live? That’s not just a show — it’s witnessing a living legacy.

These two have shaped my musical world and mindset since I was a teenager.
Their music has been there for me when I needed it the most.
Now I’m 36 — and I’m still that 19-year-old dreamer deep down, in awe of the same notes.

Dreams do come true.
Even if they take 16 years.

Thank you, Joe & Steve.
Forever grateful. 🖤
