劇団21世紀FOX:主宰は俳優、声優の肝付兼太。北村想のファンである肝付が彼の作品の上演を強く望み、1983年に当時所属していた劇団がらくた工房から独立して旗揚げ。翌1984年に第一回の舞台「十一人の少年」が公演された。
声優が多数所属していることから声優プロダクション、声優養成所というイメージが強いが、実際は舞台の公演を目的とした、れっきとした劇団である。主宰の肝付自身や所属俳優たちも、もともと声優を生業としているわけではなく、あくまでも舞台俳優のかたわら声優もこなしているということである。
北村想作品の他、肝付が声優として『ドラえもん』をはじめとする藤子・F・不二雄原作のアニメ番組に多数出演していたことから、藤子・F・不二雄が発表したSF短編作品の舞台化にも精力的に取り組んでいる。
劇団名の由来は20世紀FOXであり、21世紀になり20世紀FOXが改名するために劇団に多額のお金が入るのではないかと目論んでいた、と肝付はWebラジオで語っていた（なお、2013年4月16日には20世紀FOXの親会社であるニューズ・コーポレーションが、20世紀FOXとは別に「21世紀FOX」という名称の新会社を設立すると発表し、同年6月28日に誕生している）。

Theatrical-company 21 century FOX: Superintendence is Kimotsuki and 太 of an actor and a voice actor.
Kimotsuki who is So Kitamura’s fan desires performance of his work strongly, and starts a new business independently of the theatrical company rubbish studio to which it belonged those days in 1983.
The stage “11 boys” of the first time was performed in following 1984.
Since many voice actors belong, an image called a voice actor production and a voice actor training school is strong, but he is a clear theatrical company aiming at the public performance of the stage in practice.
I hear that Kimotsuki itself and the affiliation actors of superintendence do not necessarily make the voice actor an occupation from the first, either, and the stage actor’s side voice actor has also managed them to the last.
Since much Kimotsuki besides a So Kitamura work was appearing on the cartoon program of Fujiko, F, and Fujio originals including “Doraemon” as voice actors, stage-ization of SF short story work which Fujiko, F, and Fujio announced is also tackled energetically.
The century [ 20th ] origin of a theatrical company name will be FOX, and it was being intended whether in order that the 21st century may come and FOX may rename the 20th century, a theatrical company would gain a large amount of money, Kimotsuki was telling with Web radio (it announced that News Corporation which will be a parent company of FOX in the 20th century will, in addition, establish independently [ FOX ] the century [ 20th ] new company of the name “21 century FOX” on April 16, 2013, and born on June [ of the same year ] 28).
