Donna Reed was an actress with a career that spanned more than 40 years. She is well known for her portrayal of Mary Hatch Bailey in Frank Capra’s fantasy holiday film, It’s a Wonderful Life (1946), and she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Fred Zinnemann’s war drama, From Here to Eternity (1953).
