“I’ve always appreciated many of One Direction’s songs, especially as I grew up alongside their rise to stardom. After Liam Payne’s tragic passing, I didn’t feel right about jumping on the “trend” of releasing 1D-related content. At the time, it seemed like many were quick to capitalize on the situation without truly honouring his memory, and that didn’t sit well with me.
Now, after some time has passed, I feel it’s important to pay my respects to Liam—a talented artist who left us far too soon. RIP Liam Payne, and thank you for the music.”
