Christy Turlington Burns most recently founded Every Mother Counts, an advocacy and mobilization campaign to increase education and support for maternal mortality reduction globally. EMC was founded after the completion of Christy’s documentary, “No Woman, No Cry,” about maternal mortality in Tanzania, Bangladesh, Guatemala, and the United States.
