モデルの道端ジェシカさんが12月9日、恋愛成就で知られる東京大神宮（東京都千代田区）で行われた映画「フィフティ・シェイズ・オブ・グレイ」（2015年2月13日公開、サム・テイラー＝ジョンソン監督）の女子会イベントに登場した。同映画の予告編で流れる”壁ドン”のシーンについて司会者に聞かれると、道端さんは「正直に言うと、最近初めて知った言葉。聞いたとき何かのどんぶりかと思った！」と、笑いながら明かし、「（壁ドンをする人よりも）紳士的な方が私は好きかな……」と自身の恋愛観を語った。
壁ドンは、男性が壁にドン！と手をつき、女性の耳元でささやいたりして迫るという、恋愛ドラマやマンガでよくあるシーンのことで、今年流行した言葉を決める「2014 ユーキャン新語・流行語大賞」のトップテンに選ばれた。道端さんは「そんなのがはやってるなんて、全然知らなかった」といい、好きな人にされたらドキッとする仕草は「ドアをさっと開けてくれたり、女性に対するリスペクトが感じられるとうれしいですね」と挙げた。
映画は、50カ国以上で翻訳され、全世界で累計1億部（電子書籍を含む）を超えるベストセラー小説が原作。巨大企業の若手CEOのグレイと、普通の女子大生のアナの特異な恋愛模様を描く。

On December 9th, model Jessica Michibata attended the girls-only event on the movie “”Fifty Shades of Grey”” (premiered on February 13th, 2015, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson). This event was held at Daijingu Tokyo (Chiyodaku, Tokyo), a famous temple in Japan about praying for grace or for lasting love.
When being asked by the MC about a kabe-don style love scene in the trailer of the movie, Michibata smiled and disclosed: “”To be honest, this is the first time I have heard about this word. At first, I thought it was a dish””. She also shared about her own love conception: “”I myself like elegant and gentle love style rather than such wild and mighty type.”””
