Sairin-ji Temple, also known as Hydrangea Temple, is a temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect located in Sakamoto, Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
There is a hydrangea garden (Tsumano village) in the precincts, and it is said that tens of thousands of hydrangeas are planted.
Sairinji is a temple known for its hydrangeas during the rainy season and autumn foliage.
Sairin-ji Temple is also one of the many temples in the southern part of Hyogo Prefecture that has been passed down through the traditions of Hodo Hermit.
Sairin-ji Temple is said to have been founded in the 2nd year of Shiraji (651 AD).
Chokoji Temple (Kato City, Hyogo Prefecture), Ichijoji Temple (Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture), Nyoiji Temple (Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture), and Chomyoji Temple (Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture), which were introduced before, are said to be the founders of Hodo Hermit.

西林寺は、別名あじさい寺と言われる、兵庫県西脇市坂本にある高野山真言宗のお寺です。
境内には、あじさい園(都麻乃郷(つまのさと))があり、数万本の紫陽花が植えられているそうです。
西林寺は、梅雨の時期の紫陽花と、秋の紅葉で知られるお寺です。
西林寺も、兵庫県南部地方に数ある法道仙人開基伝承のあるお寺です。
開基は、白雉２年（西暦 ６５１）と伝わっています。
以前紹介した、朝光寺（兵庫県加東市）、一乗寺（兵庫県加西市）、如意寺（兵庫県神戸市）、長明寺（兵庫県西脇市）は、西林寺と同じく法道仙人開基と伝わっているそうです。
