Since its founding in 1895, this long-established company has been making lanterns with a focus on handwritten characters, and has produced many lanterns that are indispensable to Hakata culture, such as the Hakata Gion Yamakasa and Hakata Dontaku lanterns, as well as the large lanterns of Kushida Shrine.
