We start on a small rural road at the base of the mountain and pass through a small park with cherry blossoms in full bloom before starting up the trail. There is rain throughout the hike, and as we get closer to the mountaintop ruins we enter the clouds, giving the old stones a bit of atmosphere in the dark forest.
