I went to Murasaki in Takabatake, Nakagawa Ward, Nagoya. This popular izakaya chain was known as one of the \u201cBig Three\u201d alongside Yoro-no-taki and Tsubo-hachi from the 1970s to the 1990s. While it catered to a younger crowd back then, the quality of the food has improved, giving it a more mature drinking establishment vibe now.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s conveniently located just about a minute&#8217;s walk from the nearest station, Takabatake Station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Higashiyama Line. Being a chain, the menu is largely standardized across all locations. However, at the Takabatake branch I visited this time, they offered chicken wings for 90 yen each. These are likely a unique menu item specific to the Takabatake branch.
