Namiki in Shiga Prefecture<br \/>\nThe Metasequoia Namiki in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, is a beautiful tree-lined avenue with about 500 Metasequoia trees stretching for 2.4 km. This avenue, which changes with the seasons, is known as a scenic spot that has been selected as one of the &#8220;100 Best Roads in Japan&#8221; and &#8220;100 Best Autumn Leaves in Japan.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Highlights and Features<\/p>\n<p>* Seasonal scenery:<\/p>\n<p>* Spring to summer: The fresh green leaves create a dazzling green tunnel, creating a refreshing view.<\/p>\n<p>* Autumn: From early to late November, the leaves change from a vibrant golden color to a deep red, making this an especially beautiful time.<\/p>\n<p>* Winter: The trees create a fantastic landscape amid the snowy scenery.<\/p>\n<p>* Photogenic: The contrast between the straight avenue and the Nosaka mountain range towering in the background makes this a great photo spot.<\/p>\n<p> Access<br \/>\n* Public transport: Take the community bus (Makino Kogen Line) from JR Makino Station, get off at &#8220;Makino Pick Land&#8221; and it is a short walk away.<br \/>\n* Car: It is convenient to set &#8220;Makino Pick Land&#8221; (phone number: 0740-27-1811) in your car navigation system.
