Once located along the Odarumi River, a tributary of the Heko River, it was filmed in June 2025. I first visited in 2021, but that footage was unfortunately lost in a fire.<\/p>\n<p>Formerly Odarumi Village in Imadate District, it became part of Shimo-Ikeda Village (later Ikeda Town) in 1889. Residents lived by rice farming, slash-and-burn cultivation, sericulture, and k\u014dzo (paper mulberry) growing, with men seasonally working in sake breweries in Kyoto. In 1813 there were four households; by 1884, five.<\/p>\n<p>By around 1971, the village was abandoned, and its Hakusan Shrine was relocated to \u014cno City\u2019s Kameyama Park.
