After leaving our luggage at our hotel, the APA Hotel Aomori Ekimae, and completing our room tour, we’ll be driving along the Nebuta Festival route in a car share. The Aomori Nebuta Festival starts around here and will take us around the entire route. Last year [2024] was my first time participating, but I’d love to see it again if I have the opportunity. Now that we’ve safely returned our car share, we’re heading to a power spot in Aomori City. Walking through alleys like this is also deep and wonderful. By chance, we came across a Vanilla truck advertising high-paying jobs. There are also love hotels like this one near Aomori Station. I’d love to stay there someday. This is Udo Shrine in Aomori City. We’re about to enter the shrine grounds. This shrine is popular in Aomori as a shrine dedicated to the gods of “family safety,” “traffic safety,” and “business prosperity.” Now, let’s begin our prayers. I prayed for good things to come. The surrounding area also has beautiful scenery, including a pond. It’s almost dinner time, so I’m looking for a place to eat. A bar recently opened on the top floor of Aspam, the tallest building in Aomori Prefecture, so I head there. I take this elevator to the bar. From the elevator, you can see a panoramic view of Aomori Bay. Finally, I arrive at the bar on the 14th floor, the top floor, but to my surprise, it’s closed on Sundays. What a shock! After that, I pull myself together and look for a place to have dinner. While searching, I happen upon a national chain restaurant, Ootoya, and we’ll have dinner there. The highball arrived before the food , so I poured myself a drink. This time, I made the menu look like dinner. Cheers! By the way, I’m driving a rental car the next day, but that’s 12 hours later (after the alcohol has soaked up). This bowl is generously topped with chicken and vegetables, making it feel like an izakaya (Japanese pub) menu. For health reasons, I chose this style of rice instead of plain white rice. It also came with miso soup, which made for a nice presentation. It was a feast. Everything was delicious. After that, I went back to the hotel and went to sleep. Good night. And the next day. I had breakfast at the APA Hotel Aomori Ekimae. The breakfast included local Aomori dishes. Having safely eaten breakfast, I checked out. After that, I took the train to Shin-Aomori Station to rent a car. Having successfully rented a car, I decided to head towards Hirosaki on National Route 7. Incidentally, this was my first time driving long distances on National Route 7. I could see Mount Iwaki in the distance. However, this time, instead of going to Hirosaki City, I turned off and headed to the recently opened apple theme park in Itayanagi Town. Soon, I’d arrived at my destination. This is Apple Walk, a recently opened theme park featuring an apple orchard, a museum, cottages where you can stay, a restaurant, a hot spring, a souvenir shop, and playground equipment for children. I’d like to give you a brief overview of what it’s like. Here, you’ll find a hot spring and a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal. This monument is a great place for taking photos. Further inside, you’ll find a park with playground equipment and a battery car. Even though I’m a middle-aged adult in my late 30s, I decided to try out the battery car. The price is a reasonable 100 yen. It might not be for heavier people, but in my case, it worked just fine. Maybe it’s because I usually drive on regular roads, but it feels slow, but I recommend returning to my childhood here. There was also a small pond next to it, as you can see here. Now, let’s take a look at the souvenir shop. There were many apple-related souvenirs, as you can see here. This is a cottage. It seems you can actually stay overnight, but what a surprise! You can even enjoy the hot springs for a surprisingly low price. Next, we head to the roadside station in Namioka, Aomori City. It’s recommended to take the back roads to get to roadside stations, as this will help you avoid traffic jams. Finally, we arrived at Namioka Apple Hill Roadside Station. Now, it’s time for lunch. This is the roadside station’s restaurant. They offer a variety of standard dishes, with some Aomori-style options. This restaurant also has a drink bar, which is unusual for a roadside station. This time, I had the pork cutlet curry, which uses Aomori apples in the curry roux, so I chose that. It was spicier than I expected. Afterward, I returned the rental car safely. Why not try this out for yourself during your summer vacation?<br \/>\n<br \/>\nM.o
