Starting from Echizen\u2011T\u014dg\u014d Station (\u8d8a\u524d\u6771\u90f7\u99c5) in Fukui City, the route passes through the Tonokuchi Tunnel (\u6238\u53e3\u30c8\u30f3\u30cd\u30eb) into the wooded mountains. From there, we journey deep into Kawada, exploring its roads all the way to Kami\u2011Kawachi Town (\u4e0a\u6cb3\u5185\u753a), the most remote section of the district. Afterward, the ride continues briefly into the northern part of the former Imadate area of Echizen City before returning.<\/p>\n<p>Kawada is nationally recognized as the birthplace of Echizen lacquerware, with an unbroken craft history dating back approximately 1,500 years .
