We go to see hydrangeas at Mt. Shiude in Kagawa Prefecture and Niihama City in Ehime Prefecture. The weather is slightly cloudy. We drive along the Shonai Peninsula in Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture. In front of us, we can see Mt. Shiude. We go up Mt. Shiude. Arrival at the 1st parking lot in the summit area. Walk up the trail toward the hydrangea road. It takes about seven or eight minutes to reach the hydrangea road. There are hydrangeas planted densely along the roadside. Mt. Shiude is famous for its cherry blossoms, but we can also enjoy hydrangeas in early summer. There seem to be many blue hydrangeas. The purple hydrangeas are also beautiful. The bee looks busy. A small grasshopper? There are also beautiful hydrangeas around the lawn area at the summit. The islands of the Seto Inland Sea as seen from the summit area. Let’s head to the observation deck at the summit. To the observation deck. From the observation deck, we can see the Seto Inland Sea and the islands, but today the weather is slightly cloudy. Go through the hydrangea road and return to the 1st parking lot. We can also enjoy beautiful views of hydrangeas and the sea from the parking lot. We also visit the 2nd parking lot. It feels close to the sea. A black kite flies in the sky. Let’s leave Mt. Shiude. Lunch in Kagawa is, of course, Sanuki udon. Ordering “medium” brought two servings, and “large” brought three! Anyway, let\u2019s eat! We arrived at Ajisai Road Yamada in Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture. We park at the Yamada Jichi-kaikan and go for a stroll. A local resident began planting hydrangeas here 30 years ago, and now it has become a famous spot with about 7,000 hydrangea plants in bloom. They bloom for about 1 kilometer along the slopes under the expressway and on nearby private land. There are many unique scarecrows on display. The gardens of the houses are also filled with hydrangeas. The colorful hydrangeas are beautiful. Let’s take a walk along the walking path. Go down from the walking path and turn back toward the parking area. The story of how this ajisai road began. Let’s leave Ajisai Road Yamada. Thank you for watching.
