We visited the open gardens of a rose lovers&#8217; group in the Takenotani area of Niyodogawa Town, Kochi Prefecture. The gardens are located in a peaceful village along the Doigawa River, a tributary of the Niyodogawa River. Three houses have opened their gardens to the public: the Yamanaka house, the Yamao house, and the Ito house.<\/p>\n<p>We had always wanted to visit these open gardens. Every garden was wonderful, and we could feel the love for roses. The location, surrounded by rich nature, was also nice. Along with the beautiful roses, seasonal flowers such as clematis and digitalis were also lovely.
