Blossoms, tulips, and the quiet spirit of spring. [Music] In April, Hamira comes alive with the delicate beauty of cherry blossoms and vibrant tulips. The flower and water festival is a celebration of nature’s grace. [Music] At the heart of it, Tamagawa Jajoui Shrine stands honoring the ancient aqueduct that brought water to Edeto. Two stone warriors guard the waters, reminding us of the past. A place where quiet moments and flowers meet, inviting all who visit to pause and enjoy the serenity. Each year from late March to early April, Sakura Zutsumi Park becomes a river of petals. [Music] Hello. [Music] The Hamira tulip garden blooms in the Necarami May patty field. [Music] The only rice field in the [Music] city. Over 400,000 tulips and 60 varieties create this floral spectacle. [Music] On weekdays, serenity rains. [Music] It’s a perfect time for a slow walk and filming in peace. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Wow. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] It’s pretty cool. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Hey. Hey. Hey. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Oh, hey. [Music] You know, it’s cool. At the heart of the festival stands Tamagawa Jajoui Shrine, honoring the ancient aqueduct that once brought water to [Music] Edeto. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Tamagawa Jajui is a historic aqueduct constructed in the Edeto period 1653 to bring fresh water from the Tama River to Edeto, now Tokyo. It was a major engineering feat and helped improve the quality of life in the rapidly growing capital. The Tamagawa Jajui Shrine likely honors the aqueduct and its builders, the Tamagawa brothers, who are sometimes depicted in statues like the samurai style figures you saw. These men are remembered for their dedication and pioneering spirit. [Music] Two silent warriors stand beside it, guardians of the flow. These figures commemorate the Tamagawa brothers who engineered this lifeline in the 17th century. [Music] Oh, hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] After the tulips fade, Hamira hosts more events. Like traditional shrine processions that cross rivers in celebration, Hamira is not only a place of flowers, but a bridge between nature, memory, and renewal. Have you enjoy watching until the end?
