Kakuijima Island can be seen beyond the Uchiwada Seto.<br \/>\nThe large island visible beyond Kakui Island is Shodoshima island in Kagawa Prefecture.<br \/>\nIn the 17th century, during the Edo period, deer hunting was carried out by the Ikeda clan, the lord of the Okayama domain.<br \/>\nAs an uninhabited island, it was used as a place for hunting and forestry, but hunting was prohibited in 1770, and after that it was used as a forest for the domain.<br \/>\nThis is a peninsula on the opposite shore of Kakuijima Island. This ridge is the prefectural border between Okayama and Hyogo prefectures. The sunny side is Hyogo Prefecture, and the shaded side is Okayama Prefecture.<br \/>\nThe Ieshima Islands can be seen in the distance.
