Trees include red spruce and Japanese stone pine, and 199 species of plants have been identified, including mosses and ferns. It was designated a Hokkaido Nature Conservation Area in 1975. It has also been selected as one of the &#8220;500 Important Wetlands of Japan.&#8221; Matsuyama Marsh is one of Bifuka Town&#8217;s main tourist attractions, but unfortunately there is no public transportation to get there. It is a 1.5 to 2 hour walk from the nearest bus stop. If you drive by car, there is a road that leads to the Tenryu Numa parking lot.
