蔵王の樹氷 美しいライトアップ【蔵王温泉スキー場】Qさま!!採用 アイスモンスター Zao Japan Ice Monster
山形県山形市の蔵王温泉スキー場で毎年12月から2月まで開催している、蔵王の樹氷ライトアップをショート動画にしました。
世界でも珍しい絶景を見る事ができる蔵王の樹氷は、蔵王温泉スキー場の地蔵山山頂付近で発生する自然現象です。
東北地方を南北に横断する奥羽山脈の中でも一部の亜高山地帯でしか確認されておらず、海外でも樹氷についてのはっきりとした報告がされていない例が多くあります。
蔵王の樹氷が生成されるには山形県特有の地形と気候が関係しているとされております。朝日連峰で雪を降らせた雪雲が山形盆地を通過中に0度以下でも凍らない過冷却水滴となり、蔵王連峰を雪雲が上昇中に水滴と雪が混じり合った状態で10~15m/sで吹く北西の季節風と平均気温がマイナス10℃～マイナス15℃の吹雪の中で幻想的な樹氷を作り上げます。
山形蔵王温泉スキー場では、夜に蔵王の樹氷ライトアップも行われ、昼間とは違う幻想的な夜景を楽しむ事ができます。蔵王の樹氷は別名アイスモンスターとも呼ばれていて、まるでモンスターのような姿をしている事が由来となっているそうです。

This channel has made a short video of the Zao Ice Tree Light Up event, which is held every year from December to February at Zao Onsen Ski Resort in Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture.
Zao’s ice trees, a spectacular sight that is rare even on a global scale, are a natural phenomenon that occurs near the summit of Mount Jizo at Zao Onsen Ski Resort.
They have only been confirmed in certain subalpine regions of the Ou Mountains, which run north to south through the Tohoku region, and there have been many cases overseas where ice trees have not been clearly reported.
The unique topography and climate of Yamagata Prefecture are said to be the reason why Zao’s frost-covered trees are created. As the snow clouds that brought snow to the Asahi Mountain Range pass through the Yamagata Basin, they become supercooled water droplets that do not freeze even at temperatures below 0°C. As the snow clouds rise above the Zao Mountain Range, the water droplets mix with the snow, creating fantastical frost-covered trees in the midst of northwesterly seasonal winds blowing at 10-15m/s and blizzards with average temperatures of -10°C to -15°C.
At Yamagata Zao Onsen Ski Resort, the frost-covered trees of Zao are lit up at night, allowing you to enjoy a fantastic night view that is different from the daytime. The frost-covered trees of Zao are also known as ice monsters, and it seems that this is the origin of their monster-like appearance.
