沖縄県南城市のイシキ浜。本島から船で15分ほど行ったところにある久高島の海岸です。琉球王国時代から「神の島」と呼ばれる久高島。中でもイシキ浜は五穀が入った壺が流れ着いて農耕の始まりとなったことから「聖地」とされ、美しい砂浜も遊泳禁止となっています。
Ishiki-hama Beach in Nanjo City, Okinawa Prefecture. This is the coast of Kudaka Island, about a 15 minute from the main island bu boat. Kudaka Island has been known as the “Island of the Gods” since the days of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Especialy, Ishiki-hama Beach is considered a “sacred place” because a jar containing grains washed ashore, marking the beginning of agriculture. So that swimming is prohibited on this beautiful sandy beach.
