三峰山霧氷まつり2026【とある会社の歩こー会】＃143　2026.1　Mt. Miune Rime Ice Festival, Nara Prefecture, Japan

毎年恒例となった奈良県御杖村の霧氷まつり、奈良県と三重県の県境にある三峰山で見られる霧氷は、氷点下の環境で樹木などに付着して発達する、樹氷、粗氷、樹霜の3つの総称を言います。今年は令和8年1月17日の山開きの日に行って来ました。
今年も奈良交通のバスを事前予約して、近鉄大阪線榛原駅から、御杖村のみつえ青少年旅行村へ。今年は、道の駅の温泉、姫石の湯に寄るバスの予約が取れました。
そんな準備万全で臨んだ三峰山登山でしたが、今年は雪が降らなかったのか、気温が高すぎたのか霧氷は全く見れませんでした。霧氷→無氷でした。
三峰山は標高1235ｍ、みつえ青少年旅行村付近の登山口から約680ｍの標高差です。

The Rime ice Festival in Mitsue Village, Nara Prefecture, can be seen on Mount Miune, which lies on the border between Nara and Mie prefectures. Rime develops on trees and other structures in sub-zero temperatures and is a collective term for three types of frost: juhyo (Ice Trees), sohyo (coarse ice), and jusou (tree frost). This year, we went on January 17, 2026, the opening day of the mountain.
This year, we booked a Nara Kotsu bus in advance and headed from Kintetsu Osaka Line’s Haibara Station to Mitsue Youth Travel Village in Mitsue Village. This year, we were able to reserve a bus that would stop at Himeshi no Yu, a hot spring at the roadside station.
Although we were fully prepared for the climb, perhaps because there was no snow this year or because the temperature was too high, we were unable to see any rime ice at all.
Mt. Miune is 1,235m above sea level, with an elevation difference of about 680m from the trailhead near Mitsue Youth Travel Village.
