【徳島ひとり旅】美馬市脇町をあるく｜うだつの町並みと吉野川

徳島県美馬市脇町をナレーション入りで巡ります。
脇町は江戸時代に藍で栄えた商人の町です。通り沿いには、富の象徴だった「うだつ」のある建物が並んでいて、この「うだつの町並み」が有名です。歴史的な建物が多く残り、1988年に全国で28番目の重要伝統的建造物群保存地区となりました。

We tour Wakimachi in Mima City, Tokushima Prefecture, with narration.
Wakimachi is a merchant town that prospered with indigo during the Edo period. Along the streets stand buildings featuring “udatsu” gables, symbols of wealth, making this “udatsu townscape” famous. Many historical buildings remain, and in 1988, it became Japan’s 28th Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.
