阿波踊りは徳島県（旧・阿波国）を発祥とする盆踊りです。
日本三大盆踊りであり、江戸開府より約400年の歴史がある日本の伝統芸能のひとつになります。
夏季になると徳島県内各地の市町村で開催され、
なかでも徳島市阿波おどりは踊り子や観客数において
国内最大規模となります。
阿波おどりは400年以上の歴史があり、毎年8月11日から15日までの5日間、徳島市内に国内外から100万人を超える観光客が訪れ、街全体が熱気に包まれます。
Awa Odori is a Bon Odori dance that originated in Tokushima Prefecture (formerly Awa Province).
It is one of the three major Bon Odori dances in Japan, and is one of Japan’s traditional performing arts with a history of about 400 years since the founding of the Edo Shogunate.
It is held in cities and towns throughout Tokushima Prefecture in the summer,
and the Tokushima City Awa Odori is the largest in the country in terms of the number of dancers and spectators.
The Awa Odori dance has a history of over 400 years, and over one million tourists from Japan and abroad visit Tokushima City every year for five days from August 11th to 15th, and the entire city is filled with excitement.
