I took a walk from the old Ashoro station to Ashoro town.
Ashoro is a town in the Tokachi region with a population of about 6500.
Ashoro is particularly famous as the birthplace of the singer Chiharu Matsuyama and the politician Muneo Suzuki.
Chiharu Matsuyama’s birthplace and family home are located in the town.
Ashoro station was closed in 2006 when the Furusato Ginga Line was discontinued.
