[Music] [Applause] Thank you for watching! This time, we’ve come to Mishima City, at the request of a viewer. The location is if you head towards the bypass on Route 136, turn left at the traffic light at Mishima Municipal Nakago Elementary School, head towards Shimizu-cho, and you’ll see the Matsumoto Branch of Shimizu Bank on your right. Turn right at the traffic light, and on the way towards the bypass again, there is a coin laundry. Turn left at the T-junction, and it’s on the left side. The sign just before the laundromat is a little hard to see at night, so look for the Egg Mart sign on the right as a landmark. As soon as you turn at the sign, you’ll come to a supermarket called Egg Mart . The restaurant we’re looking for today is located on the corner of the supermarket’s parking lot. This restaurant is very popular with locals for its Japanese-style ramen, which uses carefully selected ingredients. This restaurant is called Menya Sakurafu and is located in Matsumoto, Mishima City. Their business hours are 11:30am – 2:30pm and 6pm – 9pm, and they are closed every Wednesday and the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. However, it seems that it is open on public holidays. The parking lot is shared with Egg Mart and can accommodate over 50 cars. The parking lot is made of concrete and is flat, so I think it will be easy to park a motorcycle. It’s great that there are no parking issues♪ Let’s go! 帰りましたら、 お腹いっぱいです。 English : Thank you for visiting. When you enter the restaurant, the wonderful aroma of the broth is amazing . There is a counter with 8 seats and 2 tables for 4 people, so the restaurant can accommodate a maximum of 16 people. Now let’s take a look at the menu . There are two types of ramen, soy sauce and salt, and you can choose between shoulder loin and belly pork. Other dishes include leek ramen, menma ramen and mazesoba. On the next page, there is a wide variety of soy sauce and salt tsukemen, 5 types of toppings , large servings of rice dishes such as dried baby sardine rice, takana rice and roast pork rice, and boiled dumplings. Next is the drinks menu, which includes bottled beer, highball , lemon sour, non-alcoholic beer, cola, orange and black bell pepper, and recommended flavors such as yuzu powder and black shichimi. Next is the limited-time cold Chinese noodles with soy sauce and sesame, which are also available for takeout. It seems that mazesoba can also be taken out. By the way, if you post on social media, you can get a free seasoned egg coupon. Would I like one too? (lol) The table service looks like this, from left to right: soy sauce, vinegar, black shichimi, yuzu powder, chili oil, and pepper. Now that our order is complete, we will wait patiently for our food to arrive. The shoulder loin pork noodles with soy sauce flavor are 1,200 yen. It looks like a very elegant ramen, and above all, the delicious aroma of the broth is simply amazing! The noodles are thin and straight , cooked slightly firm, giving it a chewy texture that leaves a good impression. The pork slices, which have been talked about in online reviews, are incredibly soft and tender, falling apart just by lifting them lightly with chopsticks. The seasoning is sweet, making you feel like you’re eating luxurious braised pork. The noodles are topped off with the beloved bamboo shoots, and the soup has a great flavor and aroma, making it a ramen that is loved by fans. The yuzu powder used to change the flavor was also excellent. Next up was the small fish and Arima sansho rice (350 yen). The sansho pepper aroma was great, and it was delicious as it was, but the waiter recommended adding chili oil, so I added a little, which enhanced the flavor and spiciness of the sesame oil, making it even more delicious. Next up was the mazesoba, which is also available for takeout. For 980 yen, the mazesoba is colorful and feels more topped with ingredients than ramen. Also, when you order mazesoba, you are asked “Would you like garlic and mayonnaise?”, so I asked for “both” so that it would be easier for you to understand. However , I take anything I’m given unless it makes me sick, so I eat it even without taking photos (lol). The noodles are medium thick rather than extra thick, so you can slurp them up rather than chomp them down . By the way, the pork slices are diced and the bamboo shoots are bamboo shoot tips, and the texture is great. Finally, I added vinegar and yuzu powder to change the flavor and made it refreshing. Like the ramen, it was a very satisfying bowl. Next was boiled dumplings for 450 yen . They were slightly on the small side. The texture is not smooth, but chewy. The filling inside is chewy and has a lot of meat, which goes well with the vinegar and soy sauce. I felt that it was perfect for when you want to eat a little more or as a snack. By the way, please note that payment is only accepted in cash or PayPay. The sweet and tender pork slices are appealing, but above all, the ramen soup with a strong flavor is exquisite in both taste and aroma. It was very delicious. If you also want to try soup and pork slices with a strong impact, why not try Menya Sakurafu? Now, I would like to move on to the next restaurant, so please read to the end. Next up is an introduction to a ramen restaurant in Matsumoto, Mishima City, just like the one I introduced earlier. It is located a little way back from Menya Sakurafu, on the opposite side of the road. There are several tenants in the building on the left, but on the southernmost side is the restaurant I am aiming for this time, [Saikin Ramen], also in Matsumoto, Mishima City. The restaurant is called Makiriya. Business hours are 11am-3pm and 5pm-9pm, with last orders at 8:30pm. They are closed every Tuesday and the third Wednesday of every month. By the way, there are parking spaces for 2-3 cars in front of the restaurant and 2 cars by the fence on the north side of the building. Both are made of concrete and flat, so it should be easy to park even with a motorcycle. Let’s go! Let’s go in! As soon as you enter the restaurant, there is a ticket machine where you can buy a meal ticket. The menu is simple, with three types of flavor – soy sauce, salt, and miso – as well as char siu, medium-sized, and large-sized. Other options include gyoza, rice, and toppings, so it’s easy to understand that you don’t have to worry about pressing the wrong button in a hurry (lol). They also ask about your preferences for noodle firmness, flavor, and amount of oil, so it’s nice that you can change it depending on your mood that day. Water is self-service, so you can get your own water and then take a seat. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like this. The interior is bright and simple , and there are only 12 seats at the counter. By the way, the table service is, from the left, chili oil, vinegar, soy sauce, pepper, garlic, and chili bean paste. Soy sauce -flavored char siu ramen is 1,300 yen. First of all, the char siu makes a big impact, isn’t it? The other toppings are cabbage, spinach, seaweed, and green onions, which is the classic style. By the way, when you hand over your meal ticket, you can choose your ramen preference in terms of noodle firmness, flavor, and I ordered the noodles with normal oil content. I also ordered the noodles with a firm texture, which gave them a chewy texture and allowed the soup to mix well with the noodles. The impressive pork slices were not only large in appearance but also thick, making them satisfying to eat. I also had a surprisingly large amount of spinach, cabbage, and seaweed along with the noodles. The soup, which I ordered with normal flavor, was quite strong, so I wanted rice. About halfway through, I added the pepper, chili bean paste, and garlic provided on the table to change the flavor. Next up were the gyoza, which cost 400 yen. A plate of six for 400 yen seems like a good deal, doesn’t it? The gyoza are average-sized, but they are easy to lift up. When you look at it, you can see that it’s packed with bean paste. The bean paste is a soft type with lots of vegetables, and it was delicious with soy sauce. Next, I had salt ramen for 1,050 yen with seaweed topping for 150 yen. Two dishes were too few, so I decided to come back another day. I also really wanted to try the salt flavor, so this time I ordered firm noodles with a strong flavor and regular oil. The firm noodles had a chewy texture and were very delicious. Next is the soup. The saltiness is not as strong as soy sauce, so it can be enjoyed even if it is made stronger . The reason I chose a stronger flavor this time is because I wanted to eat it with rice. I ordered a medium-sized bowl of rice for 200 yen, but was surprised at how big it was! It was a huge portion even though it was a medium size. The salted cabbage on top of the rice was also delicious. But what I really wanted to do was this! I wrapped rice in seaweed that had been thoroughly soaked in the strong-flavored soup, and it was amazing! The amount of rice was more than I expected, so I think topping it with seaweed was a good choice. I also thoroughly enjoyed the garlic and chili bean paste flavor changes in this salt ramen. ♪ This time, I visited [Kaishin Ramen Makiriya] in Matsumoto, Mishima City. The menu is simple, with soy sauce, salt, and miso, but there are various toppings, and the impressive roast pork makes it fun to find your own original bowl. ♪ If you have the opportunity, why not try [Makiriya]? ♪ Also, if you have any recommended toppings or ways of eating it, such as “This combination was the best,” I would be happy if you could tell me in the comments.
