北海道の北東部遠軽町丸瀬布の北見市留辺蕊へ向かう道道1070号線沿いの「森林公園いこいの森」から車で10分ほどの駐車場からから遊歩道を歩くと「山彦の滝」と「鹿鳴の滝(ロクメイのたき)」がある。「山彦の滝」は落差が28ｍあり裏側からも見られることから「裏見の滝」とも呼ばれている。
「山彦の滝」から500ｍほど歩いたところに「鹿鳴の滝」がある。落差が15ｍの岩肌を滑るように流れ落ちる。エゾシカの生息地となっており、鹿が水を飲みに来ることがこの滝の名の由来となっている。
Yamahiko Falls and Rokumei Falls are located in Engaru Town in northeastern Hokkaido. Yamahiko Falls has a drop of 28m and can be viewed from behind the waterfall. Rokumei Falls is located about 500m from Yamahiko Falls. The waterfall has a drop of 15m and flows smoothly down the rock face. The surrounding area is a habitat for Ezo deer.
