Tsuchiyu Roadside Station Tsuchiyu Road Park is located on a plateau 800m above sea level along National Route 115 and offers a spectacular view. Located at the entrance to Tsuchiyu Onsen, it’s also a convenient base for touring the nearby hot springs. It can accommodate eight large vehicles, 56 standard-sized vehicles, and two handicap-accessible vehicles. Business hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (shortened hours in winter). I had breakfast here… a tempura bowl set for 1,000 yen. I went out to the terrace, which offers a spectacular view. I tried the famous “Tsuchyu Soft Serve.” I bought “grilled salted sweetfish” and “yakimochi” (grilled rice cakes) before heading home.

「道の駅つちゆ　つちゆロードパーク」は、国道115号沿いにあり、名物の手作り串こんにゃくや峠のおやき、福島のおみやげを販売するほか、軽食コーナーで地元食材を使った料理も楽しめます。
周辺には土湯をはじめ、様々な温泉が点在し、湯めぐりの拠点として便利です。
標高800ｍの展望デッキから眺める吾妻連峰は、自然の壮大さを感じる事が出来ました。
