This is Gossigul in Yeongwol. Today, we’re planning a trek that starts here. We’ve arrived at Gossigul, right? It’s too bad to just pass by Gossi Cave. After visiting Gossi Cave, we’ll come back here. Crossing the Gossi Cave Bridge next to the ticket booth. We’re heading to Gossi Cave. The entrance fee to Gossi Cave is 4,000 won for adults. When you enter Gossi Cave, as you can see now, You can safely move into the cave along the established path. Inside the cave, you’ll find stalagmites and stalactites, which formed approximately 400 million years ago. Stalactites and stalagmites And you’ll encounter cave coral. There are information signs installed throughout the cave. It helps to understand the cave formations. The internal temperature is a bit chilly, around 8 to 16 degrees Celsius. Bringing extra warm clothes will make your exploration more comfortable. We returned to the parking lot in front of the Gossi Cave ticket booth. It took me about 40 minutes to tour the Gossi Cave. The Gossi Cave ticket booth is in front. Let’s go left. Did you see the bus passing by just now? Right below the Gossigul ticket booth, There’s a bus stop. This bus runs between Yeongwol-eup and Kimsatgat-myeon. There are frequent buses here. Cherry trees are planted along the street. The trees look very old. The cherry blossoms will be beautifully colored in spring. We have arrived at ‘Gossi Intersection.’ From here, I’ll go to the right. I can see ‘Gakdong Bridge’ in the distance. It looks to be about 300-400 meters from here. That’s Gakdong Intersection. From here, I’ll go to the right. Gakdong Bridge I can see it. Kim Satgat welcomes me at Gakdong Bridge. Crossing Gakdong Bridge Walking along the sidewalk. Red flowers are planted in front, and green beans are planted behind. The contrast between red and green is beautiful. You can see the Namhan River and Mt. Grime in the background. It’s currently around 10:15. Still, the autumn morning clouds linger. Cosmos are blooming right next to the road. Seeing the cosmos makes me realize that autumn has arrived. This summer has been unusually hot, hasn’t it? It was so hot I thought fall was coming. And so, fall has arrived. We walked 20 meters from the bus stop. It’s a three-way intersection. I’m heading here. I’ll go left, towards 5 o’clock. The village As soon as we passed Connecting Gakdong-ri and Gajaegol We came across Gajaegol Bridge We’re going up Gajaegol along the single-track road To the right The Namhan River flows leisurely in an S-shape Next to the Namhan River The rural village landscape formed on the riverside terraces It’s a picture-perfect painting. There’s a signpost and a rest area ahead. Let’s check the signpost and continue. From here, it’s 1.03km to Gajaegol. At this signpost, there’s a signpost called “Oessibeoseongil.” It says, “Road to Gwanpungheon, 15th Street.” I’m currently walking along ‘Oessibeoseon-gil 15-gil’ a section of the trail. The path leading up to Gajaegol is As you can see, it’s a paved road. There’s a valley on the right. Shall I show you the valley for a moment? The elevation from the road to the valley is quite high. Yellow and purple ribbons mark the road. The Oessi Beoseon-gil ribbons guide the way. We have arrived at the three-way intersection. From here, head towards the 5 o’clock direction. Oessi Beoseon-gil Signpost There’s a sign. If you look at the trail, you can see that the grass has been cut. It seems the management of the Oessibeoseon Trail has cut the grass. It looks like the grass has been cut. We’ve arrived at Keunjae. If you go straight from here, you’ll reach the ‘Kim Satgat-myeon Office.’ If you go left, you’ll see Daeyasanseong Fortress (Observatory). I’ll see Daeyasanseong Fortress and then come back here. I’ll head toward the Kim Satgat-myeon Office. There’s a three-way intersection right ahead. Daeyasanseong Fortress is to the right. You can see the Daeyasanseong Fortress Observatory ahead. There is. From the Oessibeoseon-gil intersection It took about 5 to 8 minutes. From the observatory, I can see where I started. Yeongwol Gossigul Tourist Complex and You can see the Namhan River at a glance. To Keunjae I’m back. We’ll head towards the Kim Satgat Township Office. As soon as we came down the stairs, we came across a field of larch trees. The sight of the larch trees towering high into the sky is truly magnificent. You know? Larch trees turn yellow in late autumn, don’t they? The scenery at that time was truly fantastic. We arrived at Daeyari Shelter Park. There’s an old zelkova tree standing in front. Even at first glance, it looks like it’s at least 400 years old. Right next to the zelkova tree. Next to it There’s a pavilion, and next to it is a shelter from the heat. It’s a great place to rest in the shade during the summer. The red brick wall in front of the shelter is impressive. There’s the Daeya Methodist Church. As soon as you pass Daeya Methodist Church, A wide open plain ahead, The rocky cliffs surrounding this plain are clearly visible. We’re passing through the Daeya field. The Daeya field appears to be about a kilometer long. Soybeans are planted on both sides of the road. You know how soybean leaves turn yellow in late autumn? It’ll be a truly fantastic sight when the bean leaves turn yellow. As we walk, the rocky cliffs stand in front of us like a folding screen. The rocky cliffs seem to be getting closer. The grandeur and immensity of the rocky cliffs are truly amazing. Even if you’re not trekking, if you visit Yeongwol, You should definitely walk through this Daeya field. I walked through the entire Daeya field. Because it’s a field in the mountains of Gangwon-do, I thought it was bigger and wider. I’m walking along the Oessibeoseon Trail right now. Saturday, October 18th, in Yeongwol Open I’d like to introduce you to the Oessibeoseon-gil event. On Saturday, October 18th, at the Yeongwol Kim Satgat Literature Museum, The Yeongwol Oessibeoseon-gil Walking Event will be held. The event begins at 9:30 AM. The parking lot of the Kim Satgat Literature Museum It’s narrow. Park at the Kim Satgat Rest Area. You can take the shuttle bus to the Kim Satgat Literature Museum. The address of the Kim Satgat Rest Area is: 2150 Yeongwol-dong-ro, Kim Satgat-myeon, Yeongwol-gun The short course is from the Kim Satgat Literature Museum to the watermill, 3.1 km, 1 hour and 30 minutes. The full course is from the Kim Satgat Literature Museum to To the Kim Satgat Township Office 12.7 km, 4 hours. Both the short and full courses are shuttle buses to the Kim Satgat Rest Area. Passing through a pine grove. Passing through an oak grove. There is. The mountain here has the typical appearance of a mountain. If you visit in late fall, The yellow leaves would be beautiful. You can see a stream to the left of the direction of travel. That stream looks like the Okdongcheon Stream. From here, it’ll continue downhill. I expected it. We’ve come down the mountain. We came across private property. Since it’s private property, I was worried that… I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to walk.
