北海道室蘭市崎守町の街歩きです。
崎守町の仙海寺前の坂から市街を回り、歴史の小径までを歩きました。
イギリスの旅行家・探検家であったイザベラバードは、明治11年(1878年)9月2日に平取からの帰り道に崎守町で一泊しています。
当時の崎守町は旧ムロランと呼ばれ、対岸のトキカラモイ（新ムロラン）に室蘭の中心地が移ったために、街の勢いが無くなっていった頃のようです。
その後50年ほどして国鉄長輪線が開通しています。
