戦場ヶ原（せんじょうがはら）は、栃木県日光市奥日光にある広大な湿原で、男体山の噴火によってできた堰き止め湖が湿原化したものです。中禅寺湖を巡る男体山の神と赤城山の神の伝説に由来する名前を持ち、350種類以上の植物や多くの野鳥が見られ、ラムサール条約に登録されています。木道が整備された自然研究路でハイキングが楽しめ、特に夏と秋にワタスゲや草紅葉が美しいとされています。

Senjogahara is a vast marshland in Oku-Nikko, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, which was formed from a dammed lake created by the eruption of Mt. Nantai. Its name comes from the legend of the gods of Mt. Nantai and Mt. Akagi, which surround Lake Chuzenji. Over 350 species of plants and many wild birds can be seen here, and the area is registered under the Ramsar Convention. You can enjoy hiking along the nature trails with well-maintained boardwalks, and the area is said to be particularly beautiful in summer and autumn when you can see the cotton grass and autumn leaves.
