How are you all? Welcome to Nabe Travel Channel. This time, I’d like to visit Kamenoi Hotel Atami, located in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The hotel has been undergoing renovation since last year, but it has just reopened on March 20, 2025. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of hotel it is. Let’s take a look together. Do n’t forget to subscribe to the channel and rate it highly. Let’s get started with the room tour. Today, I’m in room 805 on the 8th floor. I’m looking forward to it. So, I ‘ll open the door. The room is the type that you find right away as you enter. It’s a beautiful room, like this. It has just been renovated, so the interior has also been beautifully renovated. And what is the view from here like? Wow, amazing. You can get a panoramic view of Atami cityscape. It’s so beautiful when you go outside. The view is amazing. You can see the sea and Atami cityscape below you, and the breeze feels great. The room is spacious and comfortable. The bed is double size, I think, and it’s quite spacious. It’s a twin, so it’s designed to accommodate a third person. The snacks are rice crackers with green tea in them. The TV has various apps that can be used. There are bath towels and toilet towels in the room, so you’ll need to take them with you when you go to the large communal bath . This is the tea set. There’s also a refrigerator, but it doesn’t have water, but there’s a water server next to the elevator, so you can get some from there. This is where the bedding for the third person is kept, and here are the hangers and in-house wear. Yukatas and other items are available next to the front desk on the first floor. This is the restroom, like this. The last door is the sink. It has a very simple design. I booked through Rakuten Travel, and it’s an ocean view superior fourth-type room. The buffet plan with one night and two meals was 39,600 yen for two people on a weekday. It was a little pricey because it was summer vacation . There is also a Japanese Kaiseki plan. Next, let’s take a stroll around the hotel. The guest rooms are on the 3rd to 9th floors, and the facilities are on the 1st and 2nd floors. It has undergone a fairly extensive renovation, with the lobby, large public bath, game room, and karaoke room all renovated . Other amenities include rooms with open-air baths, a premium kids’ room, and the newly opened Japanese restaurant ATAMI. The 2nd floor has the front desk, shop, amenities, karaoke rooms, activities, and a relaxation spa. Next, let’s go to the 1st floor. Kamenoi Hotel Atami is certified as a Welcome Baby Inn by the Miki House Childcare Research Institute. It has baby premium rooms and a well-equipped kids’ park, making it a child-friendly hotel. Next, let’s go see the hot springs. The hot springs have a large public bath and a semi-open-air bath. The hot springs were nice, but the view wasn’t great, which was a shame for me . However, a room with an open-air bath overlooking Sagami Bay has been newly added in the renovation, so it might be a good idea to reserve one of those. Next, let’s go see dinner. The venue is divided into the buffet restaurant Bold Kitchen and the Japanese restaurant Atami. The location changes depending on the course you choose. This time we chose the buffet plan. Let’s take a look. At Bold Kitchen, you can enjoy about 90 kinds of Japanese and Western dishes under the theme of “Feeling Atami Gourmet and Italian Style.” In the live kitchen, there are many freshly prepared dishes, mainly seafood unique to Atami . Of course, the seafood was delicious, as were the regular menu items such as fried chicken. I always think that Shizuoka horse mackerel is the best. Fried horse mackerel is a must. The grilled seafood they cook right in front of you is a luxury. Kamenoi Hotel seems to be particular about rice. There are plenty of fruits and desserts. Cider jelly looks delicious. They have a kids’ menu designed to be delicious for children who don’t like vegetables, and they also have baby food for small children. We picked up a lot. The fried chicken looks delicious. Thank you everyone for your hard work . The sushi is made in the live kitchen, and the red meat and color of the tuna are delicious. It goes great with beer and highballs. You can drink it all. I ordered alcohol a la carte, but you can also add an all-you-can-drink course. I always end up eating too much, but dinner should be light. That’s because Kamenoi Hotel is known for their late-night dandan noodles. They change monthly between red, white, and black, and this time it was black. It was delicious . Next is the breakfast buffet . Breakfast is also a buffet at the same venue. There are 80 different menu items lined up in the morning . Including the dinner menu, there are 170 items. It’s so luxurious you won’t be able to eat it all. My recommended breakfast items are sakura shrimp tempura and grilled rice balls. It’s dried horse mackerel. The cherry shrimp tempura is made by mixing raw cherry shrimp with fresh vegetables, and the batter is thin and crispy, which is really delicious. There are a lot of types of bread, and there are a lot of delicious-looking menu items, so it’s comparable to a dinner buffet rather than a morning one.
