Hello, this is “Tabi Kana”. This time, I would like to introduce my favorite souvenirs under the theme of “Top 10 Nagasaki Souvenirs”. Please note that this is based on my own opinion and bias. If you are interested, I would be happy if you could watch it as well. “Tomiya’s Yusenpei”. Yusenpei is a wafer-like snack that is slightly sweet, crispy, and fragrant, made by kneading flour, sugar, eggs, baking soda, and hot spring water . It is a famous confectionery of Unzen Onsen. “Yoriyori”. “Yoriyori” is a Nagasaki word that refers to the Chinese “Ma-hua”. “Yoriyori” is a fragrant, sweet snack that originated in Shaanxi Province, China, made by kneading flour and deep-frying it. This hardness is addictive❣️ For those who don’t like hard snacks, there are also soft products. “Nagasaki Cruz”. “Cruz” is a Portuguese word that means “cross”. The packaging is also cute. The thin, crispy dough is sandwiched with ginger-flavored white chocolate, giving it a refined sweetness and refreshing flavor. Currently, new products such as coffee, matcha, and strawberry are also available. There is also an assortment product that is only available at the airport. Goto’s “Kankoromochi”. Kankoromochi is a type of mochi mixed with half-boiled sweet potato. When baked, the sweet potato’s aroma and sweetness increase, making it very delicious. “Nagasaki Monogatari”. A gently baked Baumkuchen filled with plenty of cream, it has a nostalgic taste. “Nagasaki Ichiban Kamaboko”. When I go to Nagasaki, I always buy it to bring back home. It is really, really delicious when it is freshly fried. My favorites are the champon tempura, squid tempura, and ginger tempura. “Mogi Loquat Jelly”. A luxurious dessert made by gently wrapping a whole Nagasaki loquat in jelly. The chewy texture and smooth taste are irresistible. They are also individually wrapped, so please give them a try. “Ikkokko”. A mysterious baked confectionery with a hollow center. It is a baked confectionery made from starch syrup, wheat flour, brown sugar, honey, and sesame seeds. It is a fragrant, sweet, and mysterious confectionery. When I first ate it, I was surprised at how hollow it was😵 The more I chewed it, the more delicious it became, and I became addicted😆. “Kujukushima Senpei”. It is characterized by its unique crispy texture and the fragrant peanut flavor. It seems that its quality is also highly regarded , having won the Monde Selection Gold Award for 10 consecutive years . It is also very popular with my friends❤️. “Fukusaya Castella”. Fukusaya was founded in 1624 and is the longest-established castella shop among the many castella shops. I like the sweet aroma, the granulated sugar that remains at the bottom, and the moist texture the most❣️. There is also a two-piece pack, so please try it✨. There are many other recommendations, so here are some of them. “Nagasaki Sable”. Shaped like stained glass from a church. It has a crispy texture and melts in your mouth. “Otakusa”. “Otakusa” is a hydrangea. It is shaped like a petal, has a light and crispy texture of pie crust, and is not too sweet, so you can eat several at once. “Hanakogo” red balloon. A rich and flavorful financier made with butter and almond powder. “Kinsenpin”. A Chinese confectionery made by rolling kneaded wheat flour and sprinkling it with white sesame seeds before baking. “Ran Petit”. A soft cake coated with custard cream and a dough made with eggs. “Lucky Cherry Bean”. A simple bean confectionery made using the same method since the company was founded in 1914. A super popular bean snack with a light sweetness that lingers on your tongue. “Uni Mame” It is famous as the brother of “Lucky Cherry Mame”. It is also a great snack to have with beer 🍺. “Yakiago Senbei” Rice crackers with flying fish stock. Recommended for those who enjoy alcohol.
