Watch a 260-kilo Taiko Drum being carried around town, Yokkaichi, Japan

The origins of the Dainenbutsu Festival — held in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture — lie in an event held in 1321, featuring a parade of Buddhist monks. Today’s festival features a procession, in which about 100 local people participate. A giant taiko drum and a heavy metal gong are paraded through the streets – between Hino Shrine in Nishihino to Saikaku-ji Temple in Higashihino in Yokkaichi City.
