今回は、北海道のおヘソのちょっと上、東川町の旅です。
とあるお店から紹介された東川町在住の人へ会いに。
その人から東川町の良い所、懐かしくなるような景色など、
色々と教えて頂きました。
全国でも珍しい上水道の無い町、東川。
大雪旭岳（たいせつあさひだけ）の恵み、地下水が豊かにあり稲作に適し、水田が広がる町。
素朴に日々の営みを過ごす人々。
そんな中、今までにない知恵、力、行動を起こす新しい世代たち。
インバウンドにも訴求し、今まさに発展しようとしつつも古き良き部分は残す。
とても調和している町、東川。

This episode will explore Higashikawa-cho, a town slightly north from the middle of Hokkaido.
Referred from a shop owner, our mission was to go see a person who lives in Higashikawa-cho.
We learned many great things about Higashikawa-cho from him,
including sceneries that we miss from the old days.
Higashikawa is a very rare town nationwide with no water-works.
Blessings from the Taisetsu-asahidake, suitable for rice-growing because of rich underground water,
a town with widely spread paddy field.
Spending simple lives everyday taking care of business.
Among those, new generation rise with their intelligences, strengths,
and actions never seen before.
Seeking the appeal to the “inbound,” the town is developing right now leaving the things
from the good old days
A town with very good harmony, Higashikawa.
