Hey guys, it’s Yuuka here! Today I came to check out this brand-new spot in Okinawa— Junglia Okinawa! I mean, it’s already blowing up everywhere, so no need to explain, right? I’m sure you’ve all heard of it. It’s a theme park all about dinosaurs. Since I’m in Okinawa anyway, I thought I’d play around here today and give you my honest review of everything. Alright, let’s go Jungliaaa! I bought a 1-day ticket online beforehand, and they sent me this QR code. So I’ll just scan this and head straight inside. That Junglia logo though— Taking a solo pic here feels way too awkward, so I’m just gonna skip it… *Well, mostly ‘cause I can’t use a tripod anyway.* Wow. It’s so pretty. Actually, it’s insanely huge. Since it’s a weekday, it’s not too crowded either. Ooh, look! They’ve got rental umbrellas. Isn’t that super thoughtful? I’m definitely grabbing one. Ahh, shade never felt so good. It’s been ridiculously hot today, so this is a lifesaver. Now I’m ready to wander around. But where should I go first? *Classic directionally-challenged me: even with a map, I have no idea where I am.* Oh, looks like there’s a shop here. I think filming inside is a no-go, so I’ll turn the camera off and take a peek. But when I asked the staff, they actually said it’s fine! So let’s film a bit. Look, look—so many headbands! I didn’t expect them to sell headbands here, so my expectations were zero, but they’re actually pretty cute. They’ve got dinos on them—adorable, but kinda embarrassing. *Yeah, being 18 makes this a little awkward, not gonna lie.* Oh wait, the dinos are actually kinda cute. Not as weird as I thought? Wait, does it look weird…? Now it feels like I’ve got two faces. The shop was full of dino-themed merch everywhere. So I ended up getting this one! (about $16) I was tempted by the dinosaur one too, but today I’m going with max cuteness. I just grabbed this map a minute ago. So I’ll check it out and head toward the rides I wanna go on. Whoa, look, look, look! That’s crazy… You can see a dinosaur head peeking over there. That must be the giant main dinosaur. Yoo-hoo! Okay yeah, no way it can hear me. The nature here is unreal. Alright, let’s name that dinosaur… Rokurokubi-tops…? (lol) Ooh, look, there’s a floating swing ride. That’s probably the Titan Swing? The view from up there must be amazing. *Okay, let’s go check out the food stand prices.* The prices are kinda on the high side, but not as scary as I expected. What a relief. It’s so hot I was about to melt, so I had to grab a drink ASAP. This one’s called “Tankan Squash”— basically like a mandarin orange soda. Doesn’t this whole set look super Instagrammable? *But yeah, I kinda went broke on the ferry here, so I’m low on cash now.* Mmm, it’s good! It’s got these little orange peel bits in it, so it’s all pulpy and fun to chew. Now I feel ready to survive this blazing sun. *By the way, the park’s mostly slopes, so families with kids—be warned!* So I was drinking this Tankan soda thinking it was really good, but I guess because of the peel bits, it started tasting pretty bitter… Like, super bitter at the end. If a kid drank this, they might cry. *Even me at 18, I almost cried from that bitterness.* *So, I finally got to the Dinosaur Safari, but then… disaster struck.* The ride I wanted to try the most— it’s a 310-minute wait. That’s 5 hours! That’s insane… Okay, hear me out. Since it was 300 minutes earlier, I thought, “Fine, I’ll just buy a Premium Pass.” So I logged into the app just now, but apparently the Premium Pass is sold out. So yeah… no luck. *Basically, your options are: Premium Pass sold out, ride tickets gone, or the ride’s just closed.* I didn’t really research properly, but I just assumed the Premium Pass would let me skip the line. I was like, “Eh, I’ve got the stamina to wait, so it’s fine.” But yeah… without buying it, there’s no way to ride this. I really wanted to ride it… So I thought, okay, let’s just go to a restaurant, but when I checked— it wasn’t 120 minutes wait, it was 120 groups ahead of me… so who knows how long. Looks like not many people are getting in, so everyone’s just hanging out in these open areas and having little picnics instead. Wait, I paid like $65 just to get in, and I might not even ride anything? Seriously… this day might end with me doing nothing. What do I even do? Like, what the heck do I do?! Okay, I need to think of a new plan. Oh no… the weather’s turning bad. It just started raining a little. *Yep, the rain-girl has officially arrived in Okinawa.* The weather’s gloomy, just like my mood right now. At least they gave us parasols, that’s something. Looks like I can’t really do anything for a while, so I’ll just wander around. You know what this is? Even if you think, “Yay, I got into Junglia for $65,” you still need to buy separate ride tickets, so basically it’s admission fee plus ride tickets for what you want. Totally underestimated that. Oh hey, look! Isn’t this the spot from the official website photos? For reference, this is how it looked online. And this is how it actually looks. This spot went super viral on social media, which is how I found out about it. And yeah, it really does look like a bird’s nest—pretty cool. But maybe a little… catfish-y? I thought it’d be in the middle of a forest, but turns out it’s not. Here’s the reality. I waited about 30 minutes, and it still looked like an hour and a half before I’d get into the restaurant. All the benches were full, so I guess I’ll just keep walking while I wait. At least it’s some good exercise. Literally, walking is the only thing to do, so I might as well get my steps in. There were a few chairs inside the snack shop, but those were constantly taken too. They never opened up. Ugh… this is hopeless. I just want a place to sit. The buggies! Yes, this is the one I really wanted to ride. Of course, the ride tickets are already gone. And since they’re gone, I can’t even line up for it. So yeah, zero chance of riding. So jealous of the people who got them. I just asked a staff member, and they said I could ride the bus with no wait. So I came to the bus stop, but apparently the morning runs are already finished. It looked like it said “1 minute wait” here, but actually it was a dash—so like “— wait.” Totally misunderstood that. Turns out the next bus isn’t until an hour later. So I guess I’ll wait. *Since all I’m doing is waiting, I’ll just dance like crazy.* *Yep, the same workout my mom makes me do at home.* *So embarrassing I might go extinct.* *I swear I’ll get revenge later and ride this thing.* Since I’ve got nothing else to do, I wandered back into the souvenir shop. Let’s check out the souvenirs. They’ve got stuff like cookies and tea, and the packaging is actually super cute. Look, these rice crackers are wild— they’re shaped like dinosaur heads! That’s hilarious. Oh, and this curry! Since the restaurants are totally packed, I saw tons of people just sitting on the ground and eating this curry outside. *Basically everyone was chilling inside buildings like this.* Okay… I’ve got both bad news and good news. Apparently, I actually bought a Premium Pass for the Sky Phoenix ride. I didn’t even realize it! But I did think the ticket was super pricey… Guess I actually bought it. The time slot is between 2:30 and 2:50 PM, but right now my turn for the restaurant just came up too. And I can only do one. But since I already spent money on this pass, I’m definitely going on the ride. I’m hungry, but yeah… I’ll skip the restaurant. Sad but kinda happy. Finally, I get to ride something! That’s the good news. This is the one I’m riding. It’s actually a zipline, and you just fly straight across like *whoosh*. I can’t wait! I made it through check-in for Sky Phoenix! But from here on, cameras aren’t allowed. So I’ll toss everything in a locker and head out. I’m scared… I’m literally about to fly. Please, wish me luck. Cheer for me in your hearts, okay? ~ Sky Phoenix flight in progress ~ *I flew with full-on bird pose arms.* *By the way, this video cost extra—about $2.* I just got off Sky Phoenix, and oh my gosh, it was so fun! As you saw, I was flying through the air like a bird. If you spread out your arms, you slow down a bit, so I just cruised and enjoyed the Yambaru skies. At first I was terrified, but once I was up there it felt amazing. Like I’d turned into a bird—so cool. My bangs got ruined by the helmet, but whatever. It was totally worth it, such a great experience. Oh, and right after Sky Phoenix, they told me I could pick a free drink. So I grabbed this Aquarius. Free drinks make me happy. *Now I’m back to try the bus again, since I missed it earlier.* We’ll be heading toward the final stop, Breeze Arena. I’ll be your MC, Mizuki. Nice to meet you all! Let’s have some fun together. *I thought it was just a bus, but it’s actually really lively and fun.* Let’s all get hyped together, okay? Here we go… 3…2…1… JUNGLIAAA! *Wow… my voice was way weaker than I thought.* So yeah, it’s like a ride where you enjoy music while moving. That’s Action TamTam Drum. On your left, can you see that big round ball? That’s the Horizon Balloon. It’s a rare gas balloon here in Japan. It’s about 20 meters in diameter, and it’s filled with about 6 tons of gas to take you all up into the sky. *Honestly, the bus gave me the prettiest view, highly recommend it.* *And yep, suddenly… Okinawa time kicks in.* *This is about as much as you can do when it’s super crowded.* *I was pretty satisfied, so I hopped off mid-route for a stroll.* *Shout-out to the kind staff, they really helped me out.* Right by the bus stop, I found “Finding Dinosaur.” I’m starving, so let’s grab something to eat. One dinosaur egg curry bread, please! They even have ramune candies here for heatstroke prevention. That’s seriously thoughtful. Got the dino egg curry bread! It looks sooo good. Gonna find a bench and dig in. *First meal of the day, by the way.* It’s just regular curry bread, but really tasty. Though it cost me about $5.20, so kinda pricey. I’ll savor every bite. I think most of the staff here are from Okinawa, and they’re all super sweet. Every time I wave, they always wave back, and they answer everything with a smile. So, so kind. The crowds have thinned out a lot, but the ride wait times are still super long, so I can’t get on anything yet. Oh look, a buggy right here! It’s not real, but I’ll hop on anyway. *At least I can get a little taste of the vibe.* Wait—this is so cramped… maybe for kids? Here’s what it looks like with me on it. *So embarrassing I might go extinct, Part 2.* So it’s got this setup— a steering wheel and I guess some kind of nav screen? No clue how to use it. Still, kinda cool. I’ll just say I “rode” the buggy and call it a win. Earlier a staff member passed by and said, “You’re super cute!” I was sooo happy… I’m the type who totally takes that to heart, so I ended up buying a frozen pineapple. *I mean, if someone calls you cute, of course you buy it.* Gonna cool down with this. It’s sooo good. It cost about $3.90 though. But yesterday on Kokusai Street in Okinawa, I saw the same thing for like $1. So yeah… four times the price. That’s the Junglia markup. But hey, I got called cute, so I’m in a good mood. At first I was kinda sulking ‘cause I couldn’t ride anything, but it’s actually gotten fun now. Even just walking around is nice. This little stroll is fun too. *By evening, the crowd thins out and it’s way more chill.* *If only the wait times weren’t so brutal… it’d be perfect.* *When I got back to the plaza, they were doing a Splash Battle.* *It looked super fun, but honestly, I had zero energy left for that.* *So I decided to quietly move on to the next area.* I left Junglia and came over to Spa Junglia. This Spa Junglia is actually included in today’s 1-day pass, so basically it’s free—or rather, bundled in. You can hop on this shuttle bus from Junglia to get here. This spa is surrounded by the Yambaru forest, so it’s supposed to be super scenic and beautiful. It even said it’s great for people tired from walking too much— aka, me right now. I’m off to the spa to relax and recharge. I can’t film in here though, sorry! See you in a bit. *Time to soak in the spa and soak out the tiredness.* Back from the spa! I tried on the T-shirt I bought as a souvenir. What do you think? The spa was way bigger than I imagined, and it even had an open-air bath with views—so perfect. But at this time it was really crowded, so there were lots of people. If you want to chill in peace, I’d recommend coming earlier in the day. Since Junglia just opened recently, there were tons of visitors, and it was packed. If you don’t research in advance, you won’t be able to grab ride tickets, and Premium Passes sell out too, so what you can do on the day is really limited. If you’re planning to come, definitely keep that in mind. That said, the staff were all super nice. They’d tell me things like, “Stay hydrated,” or cheerfully say, “Have fun!” Thanks to them, I had a great time. I know social media has mixed reviews, but personally, just seeing the Yambaru scenery from Sky Phoenix alone made it totally worth it—I’m so glad I came. I’m sure in about six months, a lot of the issues will be fixed, so if you’re curious, definitely check it out. Thanks so much for watching all the way to the end today!
