Hello! This is Jini’s travel vlog, where I travel once a month. 🫶🏻 This time, I’m posting a vlog about my four-night trip to Miyakojima during Golden Week. 🌺 I took a direct flight from Haneda Airport to Miyakojima. ✈️ This time, I was able to get a round-trip ticket for just ¥23,000! Thanks to an ANA sale, I got it for so cheap! 👏 Off I go! 🩶 The flight was three hours, so I packed a bento lunch on the plane. 🍱 I bought a yakitori bento at the airport, and it’s cheap and highly recommended! This Golden Week, I spent the first five days in Miyakojima and the last four in Singapore. 🫶🏻 The start of a long journey! 🙂‍↕️ Arrived over Miyakojima! The weather forecast for the first day was bad, but it cleared up the next day. 🌞 Arrived at Miyako Airport. 🛬 Miyakojima has two airports, but Miyako Airport is primarily used by ANA and JAL! The airport is a little old and small, but it’s conveniently located near the city center. ◎ Waiting for my rental car to pick me up 🙆‍♀️ I rented a car from Sky Rent-A-Car Miyakojima! It was a Yaris Cross Hybrid! The weather was bad today, so I started shopping 🛍️ I usually get my souvenirs from Miyakojima at Don Quijote or Aeon 😹 I bought the Okinawa-exclusive Lululun as a souvenir! It comes in small packets, so it’s great for giving out as gifts ◎ It started to rain, so I shopped at Aeon until dinner time 🛒 I love going to the supermarket when I travel 🫶🏻 I bought taco rice, which is convenient for lunch boxes! It’s my favorite every time I come to Okinawa! Other purchases were like this! I also added mozuku seaweed for miso soup 🙆 After shopping, I checked into the hotel 🏨 I stayed at the reasonably priced Tabino Hotel for the first two nights! It’s a beautiful hotel, so this is my second time staying here! It seems to be popular with divers, but since it’s close to the city center, I recommend it for izakaya lovers too! This beautiful hotel just opened in 2021! 🫶🏻Let ‘s start our room tour! 📸We booked a superior twin room! It’s compact at 18 square meters, but it’s clean and comfortable! The color scheme is lovely, exuding a resort vibe. 🌺There ‘s also a small sofa and table.◎There ‘s a large separate sink and shower in the room, but there’s also a large public bath on the first floor. 🙆‍♀️After relaxing in our room for a bit, we headed to a popular izakaya restaurant with locals called Kappo Take! 🏮The restaurant has a wide variety of dishes, including sashimi and Agu pork salad ! You can enjoy Okinawan cuisine at an affordable price. 🥰First, we started with draft beer. 🍻I have a beer, but my mother has a non-alcoholic one because she’s driving. 😹The sashimi platter arrived! It even came with sea grapes, so the 1,580 yen price tag was well worth it 🙂‍↕️ And then, I had the grilled Miyako beef sushi I wanted to try 🍣. The meat was meltingly tender and delicious 🤤 My favorite Okinawan dish is somen chanpuru 🤤 It was hearty and delicious! I ate a lot and was very satisfied 🙆‍♀️ I’m going to sleep in 😴 Good morning ☀ I’m not a morning person, so I always eat breakfast just in time 😹 The breakfast here is so delicious! I had nutritious miso soup with mozuku seaweed and a tuna and whitebait bowl 🫶🏻 They also have salads and Miyako soba! It was sunny today 🌞 Day 2 of sightseeing began! First, we went to Sunayama Beach, near the city center! This beach is said to be the most beautiful in Miyakojima🏖️After passing through a road rich in nature, the beautiful ocean came into view~🌊The ocean in Miyakojima is truly beautiful🙂‍↕️A picturesque view🩶It ‘s famous for its rock arch, but it seems to have been closed off to the public🥲Even though it was late April, some people were already in the ocean! I’m the type of person who is satisfied with just looking at the ocean🙆‍♀️On the way to our next destination, we discovered the Yukishio Museum! We got to see the manufacturing process of Yukishio, a popular souvenir! I’m about to drive for the first time in a while, so I bought some Miyakojima Cider Candy to accompany me. 🍬 It’s been a year and a half since I’ve driven. 🚗 My high-performance Yaris Cross, which also comes with a panoramic view monitor, is a must-have for work , and this trip to Miyakojima is also a good opportunity for me to practice driving. 😹 This is my first driving vlog. 📸 I didn’t have any suction cups to film, so I just left some there. 😹 I listened to TWS while driving. 🎵 After driving around Ikema Island twice, I arrived at the sandbar at the foot of Ikema Bridge! It’s a spot famous for its crystal clear waters and its mystical beach . After waiting a bit, the tide went out and the sand became visible! The sand was pure white and beautiful. 🩶 After waiting a little longer, the tide went out and a white sand road appeared! Many people got off and took photos! I was hungry, so I went to my favorite place, Harry’s 🦐. It’s a very popular garlic shrimp place, and there was a traffic jam at Harry’s 💦 I thought there was a traffic jam, but it turned out the people ahead were parking on the side of the road… I went to check first, and the parking lot at the restaurant was empty ◎ I also went to this favorite garlic shrimp place two years ago! It has a Hawaiian atmosphere 🌺 It was already a popular place, but it seems to have become even more popular since TWICE Sana visited ❤️‍🔥 I ordered and waited for it to be ready 🙆 Once I received it, I could eat it on the terrace! Every shot is photogenic! 📸 Two of their most popular butter garlic treats and a juice! 🍹 It was delicious, as expected! 🦐 After lunch, we headed to a stylish cafe ☕️ This cafe near Miyako Airport is run directly by a mango farm. 🥭 We walked through a lovely garden and came across this lovely cafe. 🩶 The cups were cute, so we ordered a hot cafe latte. Enjoyed the cafe time while looking at the lovely garden. ☕️ Melons were in season, not mangoes, so we ordered a melon parfait. 🍈 The parfait was juicy and delicious. 🤤 We had a relaxing time. 🙂‍↕️ It was reasonably priced at 2,700 yen for two people. 🙆 There’s even a rooftop terrace! It’s a cafe that kids will love! I highly recommend it before heading back from Miyako Airport! ◎ Now I have more places I want to visit! 🫶🏻 After relaxing at the hotel, we headed to the stylish izakaya we had reserved. 🏮 Miyako Parlor Hi-sai! I came here because a friend told me I could eat stylish Miyakojima cuisine. 🫶🏻 The drinks were filled with fruit, giving it a tropical feel. 🏝️ I toasted with Mamoru-kun. 🍻 The stylish, creative dishes, made with island vegetables and fresh fish from Irabu Island, were absolutely delicious! First, we started with three appetizers! Then, we ordered roast beef! The meat was tender, and paired with fried garlic, it was amazing! To finish, we had oyster rice. 🦪 The juicy oysters were a new sensation and incredibly delicious. 🤤 I was completely satisfied with the delicious food! Since I was changing hotels tomorrow, I got ready and headed to bed. 😴 I chose the exact same breakfast as yesterday. 😹 If I like something, I’ll get hooked on it. lol After a delicious breakfast, I relaxed and checked out and headed to the Hilton! Before heading to the Hilton, I took a drive to 17END, famous for its spectacular views! It’s located next to the runway at Shimojishima Airport! Luckily, we were able to see the Skymark plane landing 🙆‍♀️ A plane flew right by us! It seems to be popular with airplane enthusiasts too! ✈️ The ocean was emerald green and incredibly clear. 🩵 After enjoying the view, we headed to the Hilton. 🚗 Driving has gotten a lot easier compared to yesterday. 🫶🏻 My first stay at the Hilton Miyakojima, which opened in 2023! The lobby is full of resort vibes. 🏝️ This hotel has a lovely lobby and I’m sure it’ll become one of my favorites already. 🩵 I’m starting my room tour of a hotel I’ve always wanted to stay in. 📸 The room is bright and wood-themed, with a Miyakojima-inspired blue accent. 🩵 It’s a premium twin room with a sunset view. 🌆 I headed straight to the balcony. 🚶‍♀️ The resort vibe reminded me of Guam. 🏝️ In the foreground, you can see the hotel pool and the ocean beyond, the Irabu Bridge. 🌉 I love relaxing on the balcony! More details about the hotel will be revealed in the next video, so stay tuned! This time, I’ll just summarize the main points 🤏 The bathroom and toilet were separate, and it was incredibly clean 🙆‍♀️ After the room tour, I took a stroll around the hotel 🚶‍♀️ From the lobby entrance, you can see the Irabu Bridge! The gardens and buildings are beautiful, and every angle is wonderful! The pools are also excellent, with four in total: an indoor pool and three outdoor pools 🏊‍♀️ After my stroll, I had an evening cocktail in the lounge 🥂 The lounge had a wide selection of appetizers and drinks! I had one with a beer 🍻 Orion beer while looking out at the ocean is the best 🩶 I moved to the rooftop bar on the top floor of the hotel to watch the sunset 🌇 I’d heard that the sunset from the rooftop bar here was beautiful, so it was definitely a place I wanted to visit 🫶🏻 I ordered a pineapple beer 🍍 It had a tropical feel, perfectly matching the atmosphere! It wasn’t crowded, so we were able to relax and enjoy our time. 🥰 It was a lovely sunny day. 🌞 The sun reflected on the ocean, making it a beautiful sight. I was actually planning to go out for dinner, but I wasn’t very hungry, so I went to a convenience store. 🏪 I bought some convenience store ramen. 😹 My mom, who was drinking non-alcoholic drinks, drove me and bought it for me! The Okinawan ramen was so delicious. 🤤 I’m so happy to have a late-night snack! Good night. 💤 Good morning. 🌞 I’m leaving tomorrow evening, so this is my last day of sightseeing! The weather seems to have been better yesterday. Since I’ve been eating too much every day, I had salad and bread for breakfast. 🥐 The butter seems to be made with snow salt. 🧈 As a Diamond member, I can drink wine this morning. 🍾 Also, breakfast is open until 2 p.m., so it’s a great option for lunch. ◎ I got an iced cafe latte to go from the lounge and went for a drive today. 🛣️ The hotel’s parking is free to use. ◎ There’s even an elevator to the parking lot, so it’s convenient! Painagama Beach near the Hilton seems to be popular with locals. 🏖️ I happened to have a friend in Miyakojima, so we grabbed a quick drink and started our day’s sightseeing! Since the weather was bad today, we decided to drive without a specific destination in mind. 🚗 We drove to the Seawood Hotel on Kurima Island ! Miyakojima has low traffic, so it was easy to drive. ◎ For lunch, we went to Kawamitsu Shokudo! This restaurant won first place in the 2024 Miyako Soba General Election! Because it’s so popular, we waited about 30 minutes before finally getting in! Their Miyako mazesoba seems to be the most popular. 🍜 As a mazesoba lover, I ordered the simplest Miyako mazesoba, Mijun Soba! Mijun means dried sardines, and this is a simple Miyako soba with a strong sardine broth. The mazesoba is also based on Mijun broth! The chewy, thick, curly noodles combined with the sauce were absolutely delicious. 🤤 We cracked a soft-boiled egg and mixed it in! It was an evolved version of Miyako soba that even young people can enjoy ❤️‍🔥This is a restaurant I definitely recommend 🩶After eating mazesoba, I did a little shopping at the supermarket and headed back to the hotel 🚗I lazed on the balcony of my room with a cold water 🙂‍↕️Five days is enough for a relaxing trip! Since it’s a long trip, I did my laundry at the hotel laundry 🧺Hotels with coin laundry facilities are convenient! There’s also a gym next to the laundry! They have the latest Technogym equipment, so it’s great for those who love working out◎ I’ll go tomorrow morning! I took it easy and had an evening cocktail again today 🥂I have a restaurant reservation, so I just had salad and beer! I had dinner on my last day at the Italian restaurant in the hotel 🍽️It’s a restaurant I’ve always wanted to visit after seeing Riisa Naka on her YouTube 🫶🏻For my drink, I had a shikwasa beer 🍻The wine seems to be good, but I’ve always been a beer person 😹I ordered a few items from the ala carte menu! The tuna carpaccio (3,600 yen) had a chic, French-style look , and the seafood spaghetti (4,500 yen) was delicious, packed with shrimp, mussels, and other seafood. It was a wonderful dinner! Tomorrow is my last day! I’m going to sleep in! Good morning! I went to the Lobby Lounge for the sweet breakfast buffet! They offer a sweet-focused breakfast during peak season, so I decided to give it a try! The menu was different from the breakfast in the main restaurant yesterday, so even if you’re staying multiple nights, you can still enjoy it! There were plenty of vegetables, too! I had macarons and cake! The Shisa cookies were adorable! After breakfast, I headed to the rooftop bar. You can enjoy the view even outside of opening hours. It was a sunny day! I packed, and since I had some time, I went to the gym! I ate too much, so I worked out a lot! It was a great hotel stay! This is my favorite Hilton hotel in Japan! I checked out and headed to the airport! It was a cloudless day, and I didn’t want to go home yet. 😢 First, I went to return my rental car! Sky Rent-a-Car, where I rented, is reasonably priced and has high-quality cars, so I highly recommend it. 🙆‍♀️ The shuttle bus took me to Miyako Airport. ✈️ I said goodbye to the shisa lions, ate some Miyako soba noodles at a souvenir shop near the boarding gate, and waited for my flight. 🕑 I’ll be back to Miyakojima to see the beautiful ocean. 🫶🏻 The flight from Miyakojima to Haneda Airport took 2 hours and 40 minutes! It’s a shame that the plane was so small, so there was no monitor. 😢 Miyakojima is also beautiful from the air. 🩶 I think Miyakojima has the most beautiful ocean. 🙂‍↕️ The sunset sky on the way there was a mystical sight. 🌆 It was a happy trip until the very end! I arrived at Haneda Airport at 7:30 PM! Since I was heading to Singapore the next day, I stayed at the Hilton Tokyo Bay!
