【大阪・関西万博】絶対やるべきこと10選 光る大屋根リングに感動/OSAKA EXPO2025

Breathtaking large roof ring! Pavilion lighting Experience cultures from around the world Don’t miss the night show! I went to the Osaka Expo in early May Actually going there was fun and amazing! I was moved! You can only understand it by going! Ways to enjoy the Osaka Expo! There are many recommendations besides the pavilions! I’ve compiled a list of 10 things you absolutely must do when you visit the Osaka Expo! Here you go!! On May 3rd during Golden Week, the sky was completely clear! The temperature was 20 degrees, making it a pleasant day! I just arrived at the large station built for the Osaka Expo, Dream Island Station! I arrived right at 10 o’clock! I was prepared to wait in line, but surprisingly, I got in after only about 20 minutes! One of the top 10 things you must do when you go to the Osaka Expo is to enjoy the Great Roof Ring The large roof ring has been certified as the world’s largest wooden structure by Guinness! An impressive construction! As expected from Japan, a wooden architecture powerhouse! The ‘Tree of Life’ at the 2015 Milan Expo is illuminated at night It was very beautiful! The large roof ring, the symbol of the Osaka Expo Approximately 30 meters wide and 20 meters high About 2 km in circumference and approximately 27,000 m3 in wood, it’s one of the largest wooden structures in the world! Has there ever been such a gigantic building in the long history of the Expo? Walking under the large roof, you can see the combination of each individual tree I was overwhelmed by the height and size! When I took the escalator up, the view was amazing! Walking the 2 km loop takes about 30 minutes The weather was nice that day, and it felt great The large roof ring is two layers high You can go up to the higher outer ring via the slope Walking on the ring that juts out into the sea feels great with the strong sea breeze, and the view is amazing The daytime scenery is amazing, but at night the large roof ring is illuminated It adds even more charm! The trees on the large roof seem to float in the darkness with light, creating a majestic atmosphere that overwhelmed me! At night, viewing from a position slightly away from the large roof ring is incredibly beautiful! It’s definitely Instagram-worthy! The night view from the top of the large roof You can also see the lighting of each pavilion, which is moving! In my opinion, just enjoying the view of the large roof ring is worth going to the Osaka Expo!! The night ticket from 4 PM is only 3,700 yen, which is a great deal Let’s enjoy the large roof ring using the night ticket! The Osaka Expo attracts many visitors To smoothly enjoy popular pavilions that often have long wait times, make a reservation in advance through the official app There are four types of reservations! A lottery 7 days in advance for ‘Mitsubishi Future Pavilion 18:14’, first-come-first-served 3 days in advance for ‘Netherlands Pavilion 20:00’, and same-day registration for ‘Power Pavilion: Eggs of Possibility’ If you arrive at the reserved time, you can visit the pavilion without waiting, making it efficient! For details on how to make a reservation, please check my other video by clicking the top right! I entered a relatively less crowded pavilion in between reservations The Philippine Pavilion has a 5-minute wait The Vietnam Pavilion has zero wait time The American Pavilion allowed entry in 30 minutes after joining the English tour The Australia Pavilion has a 15-minute wait Yoshimoto was able to enter without waiting If there’s a pavilion you absolutely want to visit, it’s understandable to wait in line for a long time The expo is not all about visiting pavilions I recommend making use of reservations while looking for less crowded pavilions to enter! The most enjoyable one I visited this time was the Power Pavilion! I was able to learn about various types of power generation in a fun, game-like way It was absolutely wonderful! In the end, countless LEDs were used The fantastical light show was moving! At the Osaka Expo, pavilions from various countries are built with unique designs Even just walking around to see the exterior is enjoyable Gundam is very popular among foreigners too! It’s cool, isn’t it? Yoshimoto Waraii Myraii Pavilion The smiling face sculpture has a great vibe! It’s recommended to get an overview of the pavilion’s exterior from above the large roof ring At night, you can enjoy a magical atmosphere thanks to the lighting Instead of spending a long time touring the pavilion, it’s also nice to walk around and admire the exterior! The total area of the Osaka Expo venue is approximately 155 hectares It’s about the size of 33 Tokyo Domes It’s difficult to see everything in one day It’s hot in summer, making it tough to walk around Let’s take breaks and enjoy the pavilions at a comfortable pace! At the Osaka Expo, you can experience the cultures of various countries Numerous shows featuring singing and dancing are held! You can truly experience the cultures from around the world just by walking around! This is what a world expo feels like! Arab musical performances (Probably) Italian opera Awa dance The Yoshimoto Waraii Myraii theater frequently held live performances You can enjoy comedy while taking a break! The official character of the Osaka Expo, ‘Myakumyaku’, is a mysterious creature born from the fusion of cells and water Its true identity is unknown! The flashy colors and innovative design are adorable It is very popular among both children and adults At the Osaka Expo venue, there are not only merchandise shops but also objects, murals, and playground facilities filled with Myakumyaku It’s fun to walk around searching for Myakumyaku Under the large roof ring near the Spain Pavilion, there’s a Myakumyaku manhole! It’s a one-person electric cart called ‘e-SNEAKER’ provided by Daihatsu, with wheels that look like Myakumyaku eyes A part of the Gundam’s body has a Myakumyaku drawing on it Try to find it! There are plenty of local foods from the Ring Side Marketplace in Nishioosaka! I ordered the sweet potato soft serve (600 yen) Myakumyaku-yaki (120 yen) available with toppings It feels like ningyo-yaki It was cute and delicious! There is a handwritten signature from Governor Yoshimura of Osaka under the register at ‘Rappo’! The Myakumyaku merchandise corner Everywhere was quite crowded! There was a long line at the Myakumyaku plush toy lottery next to the Shine Hat! It’s 2200 yen per try with no losing tickets! If you win, you can get a big Myakumyaku doll next to the Vietnam Pavilion at Myakumyaku House You can actually meet Myakumyaku! You can take pictures together! The drink vending machine has a Myakumyaku design! Myakumyaku can be found everywhere, so try to find them!! The ultimate Myakumyaku might be the large roof ring seen from above! Official Stamp Rally You can collect unique stamps by visiting pavilions and facilities within the venue Purchase the official stamp passport Collect over 200 stamps Not only the joy of stamping but also the ability to preserve memories of the expo through collecting There are also layered stamps! Visit six locations, including the Commons, to layer your stamps and create a colorful piece of art! In fact, there was a line waiting for layered stamps at the Commons! The official stamp passport may be sold out Bring a small notebook or similar items Collecting stamps is also a great idea! A Pokémon GO stamp rally is being held at the Osaka Expo You can collect stamps in the app by visiting the seven Pokémon photo spots set up inside the venue, which are essential for Pokémon Go Get stamps in the Pokémon GO app! 3D figures of Pikachu, Snorlax, Mew, and others are set up at the stamp locations Commemorative photos can be taken You can take photos even without the Pokémon GO app There are 7 photo spots! This is how I did it I got 4 out of the 7 stamps In addition, in connection with the Expo The rare character ‘Unown’ has appeared E·X·P·O appears frequently! An irresistible event for Pokémon GO fans! Enjoy the Expo while relishing encounters with rare Pokémon Italian Pavilion, American Pavilion, etc The very popular pavilions are difficult to reserve Waiting in line can take several hours On the other hand, the Commons allows you to experience the cultures and traditions of many countries at once, which is fascinating The Commons consists of a total of six halls from A to F Each country’s exhibition area is relatively small You can feel the charm of different cultures with various local specialties and handmade crafts on display More than 90 countries are exhibiting, and it’s full of energy! You can also talk to people from those countries The best pavilion nearby! Depending on the day and time, but on May 3rd (Constitution Memorial Day) when I went, I could always enter the commons without waiting! Here are some recommendations! Coffee from Burundi, a small country in Central Africa! I sang with Burundians and talked with a Burundian woman who is fluent in Japanese Canelé is a French food, right? It originally comes from France Are you someone from Burundi who is gluten-free? I am Burundian I have been to Ethiopia Is that true? I’ve been to Zimbabwe too It’s south of Burundi I’ve never been to Kenya or Tanzania Burundi is next to Tanzania Please! I’m waiting! Your Japanese is great! Do you have a Japanese proficiency certificate? Yes, I do N2? I have the Japanese proficiency N1! N1 is the highest level The kanji test is difficult This person felt like a native Japanese speaker It took a long time at the checkpoint in Israel Palestinian handicrafts Finally arrived at the Osaka Expo! I was moved to see traditional Palestinian crafts Jamaica is based on a true story The 1993 film ‘Cool Runnings’ features a famous bobsled display I was able to actually ride it! I was moved to touch the bobsled used for practice The Republic of Nauru, an island nation floating in the Pacific Ocean An exhibition with nothing in it is making headlines! The white circular ‘Nauru pedestal’ allows clear visibility of the display items on the pedestal What do you think? Did you see anything? I traveled with my family to Cape Verde, an island nation off the west coast of Africa, in 2014, and the safety there was very good It’s a beautiful country with clear seas! I want to talk to Cape Verdeans again after 10 years I went to see the Cabo Verde exhibition with the cap I bought locally The Cabo Verde representative has already gone home What a pity! The Osaka Expo has a fantastic lineup of shows at night! A magnificent water spectacle show held at Water Plaza! About 300 fountain devices Water screen visuals are integrated You can enjoy a fantastic performance A spectacular show with fountains and laser projection mapping for about 30 minutes! A must-see if you go to the expo Over 1,000 drones at 9 PM A magnificent show that colors the night sky “One World, One Planet.” was held The day I went, the drone show was canceled due to strong winds The Osaka Expo venue faces the sea and often experiences windy days Drone shows are often canceled Nighttime projection mapping at the EXPO Hall ‘Shine Hat’ Enjoy a fantastic display of light and visuals Works created by creators from around the world Screened monthly! Artistic works depicting a future of art are showcased one after another The Osaka Expo venue has many playgrounds and parks where children can have fun It can be enjoyed by families “Inochi Park” is a playground where mist sprays up from the ground The kids are having a blast!! It’s the best in the hot summer! In the rest area on the west side, under an artistic roof, the children are happily playing There are also restrooms and private break areas! Myakumyaku’s air cushion-type play equipment So soft! A Myakumyaku-themed playground! Myakumyaku is extremely popular with children! There are also other playgrounds and equipment for kids Enjoy it with your family! 1.
