Hello, this is “Family Hotel Stay”. We are heading to “Yamashiro Onsen”, one of the Kaga Onsen hot spring resorts in Ishikawa Prefecture. This time we are staying at “Mori no Sumika Resort & Spa”. Yamashiro Onsen, which has a history of 1,300 years, is a hot spring resort loved by many cultural figures. Mori no Sumika reopened in 2019. There is a beautiful bamboo forest at the entrance. There is a free parking lot and valet parking service is also available. A free shuttle bus is also operated from JR Kaga Onsen Station. This is the lobby lounge where you can relax in a calm atmosphere. There is a terrace where you can spend time while looking at the garden. You can also use the beauty salon, heated open-air pool, and fitness room. This time we will be staying in a room at “Bettei Komorebi”. The villa is accessed through this “Four Seasons Corridor”. A beautiful Japanese garden of 5,000 tsubo spreads out on the 10,000 tsubo site. We choose a yukata and head to our room. Now let’s take a look at the room. This is the room “Bettei Komorebi with open-air bath”. The bed is semi-double size and spacious. You can view the garden from the spacious room. This room has a sauna . You can take a sauna bath while looking at the garden. This is the open-air bath. The open- air bath where you can relax and feel the pleasant breeze is exceptional. There are two spacious washbasins. The hair dryer is ReFa. There is DHC cleansing, facial cleanser, lotion, and milky lotion. There is also a bathrobe. This is the shower room. It has a ReFa shower head. Let’s take a look at the minibar. There are three bottles of mineral water. sweets, and Kaga Bocha tea. Here is green tea. This is the closet. There is a room wear, tabi socks, obi for yukata, and an amenity set. They also prepared yukata for children. The amenity set includes a towel and a toothbrush set. This is the toilet. We enjoyed the open-air bath slowly while looking at the garden. To the premium lounge of the villa. This is a lounge exclusively for guests staying at the villa. You can drink alcohol and soft drinks freely. There are also chocolates and seedless plums. The amenity bar has face masks and hairbrushes etc. We spend the relaxing time here. This is the lounge in the main building. You can relax while looking at the Japanese garden. This is the coffee and soft drink corner. They also have black tea and Japanese tea. We came to the terrace in the lobby. The staff told me that my son has a frog, so my son is looking for a frog. We were soothed by the rich nature. The hot spring town is about a 2-minute drive from the hotel. It is an area lined with many hot spring inns, including Hoshino Resorts “Kai Kaga”etc. The old-fashioned hot spring town streetscape remains. This is “Kosouyu”, a restored public bathhouse from the Meiji era. The patterns on the Kutani ware tiles from that time are faithfully reproduced. We stopped by a cafe that is famous for pudding. “Haduchio Chaten” It was a smooth pudding and was delicious. I also had zenzai. “Tannuriya” Kutani ware and Yamanaka lacquerware are sold. We enjoyed shopping at a leisurely pace. This is a foot bath. They were selling hot spring eggs. We enjoyed the hot spring town. It was time for dinner. They had prepared a private room for us. It was a banquet meal using seasonal seafood from Ishikawa and Kaga vegetables. The children’s menu also looked delicious. We toasted with non-alcoholic plum wine and juice. My husband ordered a comparison of local sake. Grilled sushi with puffer fish There are many dishes lined up, such as cedar-grilled red fish and pot-grilled sazae etc. This is shabu-shabu made with Kaga Bocha tea broth. My son made it for us. There were many dishes such as sashimi, rice, soup, and dessert, and we were very satisfied. The dinner venue had a calm atmosphere, so we think you can enjoy your meal at your own pace. We went to the hot springs we were looking forward to . In the main building, there is “Jurin no Yu” located on the top floor, and in the annex, there is “Mori no Ide Yu”. “Select Shop Rakuichi” There are Kutani-yaki plates and coasters. A lot of famous products from Ishikawa Prefecture were sold. After taking a bath, I spent the time gazing at the illuminated garden in the lounge. It was a good day. It was a refreshing morning, soothed by the pleasant breeze. I enjoyed the luxury of slowly soaking in the open-air bath from the morning. It was breakfast time. It is a Japanese breakfast with a wide variety of grilled fish and sashimi. The children’s menu has a wide variety of Japanese food, pancakes, fruits, etc. My son seems to like hot spring eggs. In addition to meals, you can eat your favorite dishes in buffet style. There is a wide variety of soups, salads, stews made with local vegetables, yogurt, bread, and Western food menus etc. We slowly enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The garden pool overlooking the breakfast venue is open only in the summer. My son is obsessed with looking for living things. We returned to our room and slowly had tea. My son brewed tea for us. We had the happy time gazing at the garden while enjoying delicious tea. It was time to check out. This time, We were able to relax by slowly soaking in the open-air bath and hot springs.
