春日部夏祭り
勇壮な御輿を担いで練り歩く春日部の夏祭り。埼玉県春日部市にある八坂神社の祭礼が由来で、1973年に旧春日部市の市政20周年を記念して行われた春日部を代表する夏祭り。かすかべ大通りとその周辺を舞台に、勇壮な御輿が沿道を練り歩く大人御輿パレードや、豪華な装飾で彩られた山車パレードなどが実施され、春日部駅周辺市街地がにぎやかな夏祭りの雰囲気に包まれる。また、流し踊りや和太鼓の演奏、よさこいソーランなども行われるほか、会場にたくさんの屋台が立ち並び、多くの人でにぎわいを見せる。20数基の御輿を担いで練り歩く御輿パレードは圧巻の光景。担ぎ手たちの威勢のよい声で盛り上がる、熱気に満ちた夏祭りが楽しめる。
Kasukabe Summer Festival
The Kasukabe Summer Festival is a parade of people carrying magnificent mikoshi (portable shrines). Originating from the festival of Yasaka Shrine in Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture, this is a representative summer festival of Kasukabe that was held in 1973 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the municipal government of the former Kasukabe City. The Adult Mikoshi Parade, where magnificent mikoshi (portable shrines) are paraded along the roads, and a parade of gorgeously decorated floats are held on Kasukabe Boulevard and its surrounding areas, and the city area around Kasukabe Station is enveloped in a lively summer festival atmosphere. In addition to Nagashi Odori (traditional Japanese dance), Japanese drum performances, and Yosakoi Soran (traditional Japanese folk dance), many food stalls are set up at the venue, and many people are bustling about. The mikoshi parade, where over 20 mikoshi (portable shrines) are carried, is a spectacular sight. You can enjoy the passionate summer festival, excited by the spirited voices of the carriers.
