It’s a sweet shop in Niigata Prefecture, which is famous for its rice production. They had a store there for a limited time. They use rice from Niigata Prefecture. The method of making them is the traditional method of using a mallet. We bought a lot. I want to eat them quickly! They are very heavy. The box contains a set of egg sandwiches, beef cutlet sandwiches, and ham and vegetable sandwiches, which have been popular since the company’s founding. This box only contains egg sandwiches. They are very fluffy. They are seasoned with special mayonnaise. They are very delicious! We are very full! We could only eat that. Today’s destination is Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture. It is located west of Kyoto City. It is also famous as the starting point of the Arashiyama Torokko Train and the Hozugawa River Cruise. But we are not going there. It is a place I don’t know much about. It is very comfortable! I saw dandelions and ladybugs for the first time in a long time. It is about 30 minutes by train from Kyoto City. The first place we came to is a shrine famous for matchmaking. Do you know Izumo Taisha? This place enshrines the same god as there. It is a kind god who helped a rabbit in Japanese mythology. And the wife of that god is enshrined here. This rabbit is said to bring happiness if you stroke its body. Let’s get happiness! It was founded in 709. It is said that about 1,300 years ago, this shrine shared the gods with Izumo Taisha. That’s why it is called the original Izumo. That’s why it is popular as the best matchmaking shrine in Japan. I hope you have good luck in your private life and work. There is a rock where the gods reside. Let’s go and see it. The sunlight filtering through the trees is comfortable. That is the rock where the gods reside. It is very divine. To go further from here, you need to check in at the shrine office. We went back there once. And we paid the entrance fee. It’s a slope! It is said that the gods reside in the mountains beyond this point. So you should not go there. I got a goshuin. Let’s go next. Next is a temple about 20 minutes by car from there. The temple has a life-sized Buddha that is said to cure illnesses. And it is a temple with a beautiful Japanese garden. It’s very spacious! And the autumn leaves are beautiful. The temple was founded in 705. The main hall and pagoda, which were rebuilt in the 18th and 19th centuries, are registered as designated cultural properties. The ceiling painting of the main hall is also very beautiful. I got a goshuin. Let’s go inside the Japanese garden and the main hall. This is the statue of Shaka, which is said to cure illnesses. Please stroke its body. Wow! It’s beautiful! It’s a very beautiful garden. The background is also designed as part of the garden. Japanese gardens are wonderful. You can’t take pictures inside the main hall. The inside of the main hall was also very beautiful. Please go inside. And I stroked the Shaka statue too. My father was diagnosed with an illness, so it’s for his recovery. My father is very healthy. He will be even healthier. Let’s travel a lot! Next is lunch. It’s about a 5-minute drive from the temple. We pass a narrow road. We arrived. This restaurant serves Italian food made with homemade vegetables. We didn’t make a reservation. Can we get in? It’s renovated an old house. It feels very nostalgic. There are three types of lunch. They close at 14:30. We don’t have much time. So we ordered a pasta lunch. First, the appetizers. Bagna cauda with seasonal vegetables, prosciutto, quiche, etc. It’s delicious! Very wonderful. This is homemade bread. You can have as many as you like. This is rice flour bread made by grinding and baking home-grown rice. It’s very delicious. Here’s the pasta. I ordered spring vegetables and salmon with soy milk cream pasta. My parents ordered cabbage and young chicken with tomato ragu sauce, and my brother ordered vongole bianco with freshly caught bamboo shoots and clams. Let’s eat! It’s delicious! The noodles are chewy. And the sauce is rich. I had a second helping of bread. Finally, dessert and coffee. It’s cherry blossom ice cream. Next we’ll go to a long-established sake brewery. I like beer. My brother likes sake. We can tour the sake brewery there. There are three buildings. First we go to the main brewery. This Oishi Sake Brewery was founded about 300 years ago. It seems that sake was prepared here a long time ago. Currently, the first floor is a space for direct sales and tasting to commemorate the 300th anniversary. It’s not just sake. So I’m having fun too. I’ll taste wine. That white wine was made to go with Kyoto cuisine. I like it. Let’s buy it! The second floor is a sake brewing materials exhibition room. Next is the main building. The first floor of the main building sells sake and Tamba specialty products. The second floor is a materials room. We can learn about traditional sake brewing there. Who is that? He is a doll that was broadcast on a Japanese variety show. It seems that there is also a commemorative sake. The video was broadcast 30 years ago. And finally we go to the old rice mill. It sells fermented foods such as miso, soy sauce, and koji jam. We bought them. We are happy! Finally, let’s go to a shrine. It is famous for its autumn leaves.
