A Giant Hot Spring Hotel Rising Out of the Wilds of Hokkaido | Executive Suite SUIREI
Hi! We’re at Sapporo Station Today we’re heading to Jozankei, one of Hokkaido’s most famous hot spring towns It’s time to leave the hustle and bustle behind There’s one free shuttle bus a day from Sapporo Station, and you need a reservation It takes about an hour by car to get to the hotel We leave the city behind, and the scenery gradually shifts into mountains There it is! That’s our hotel for today Almost there Only an hour from Sapporo, and we’re already surrounded by nature. That’s lovely The hotel sits along the Toyohira River, with lush green mountains behind it It’s a large onsen hotel with over 600 guest rooms. Huge Toyohira River Think we could go bungee jumping here? The lobby is very spacious and has a luxurious feel It’s got a modern feel for an onsen ryokan It looks like this entire side is all souvenir shops. So spacious The Jozankei’s Onsen Musume is so cute! They’ve got food, drinks, souvenirs, daily goods… probably everything When you think of Hokkaido, you think of shimaenaga birds Normally, check-in is done here, but… If you’re staying on the top floor, you’ll make your way to the special check-in area We’re staying a step up today We’ll be staying in the Suirei Executive Suite, one of only 33 rooms on the top floor But before we check in, there’s something we have to eat first… This is it! There’s a café open from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm They have pasta and curry, but I already know what I want The view outside the window is full of nature. It’s beautiful Shimaenaga parfait: 780 yen It’s sooooooo cute! It even comes with a shimaenaga langue de chat cookie Its head is tasty Now for the wings A classic vanilla and chocolate parfait My husband’s parfait is a Matcha kappafait A kappa is a legendary river creature from Japan Jozankei has an old kappa legend Ahhhhh! We better eat the shimaenaga and the kappa before they melt Here’s what the kappa cookie looks like Alright, time to check in at the exclusive reception You can check in from 2 p.m., and since it’s exclusive, you don’t have to wait. That’s nice >> Staff: Thank you very much for coming today >> Staff: You’ll be staying one night, two adults, with French-style dinner and breakfast >> Staff: You’re welcome to use the lounge exclusively for Suirei guests >> Staff: Please be sure to carry your key card at all times >> Staff: Drinks and snacks from the lounge are free to take back to your room >> Staff: Here are the women’s skincare amenities >> Staff: Your room is 1601, on the 16th floor of the main building Let’s head to our room >> Staff: Enjoy your stay The hotel has a main building and a new building The 15th and 16th floors of the main building are dedicated to the Suirei Executive Suites Rooms on the 15th floor are themed around trees, and rooms on the 16th floor are themed around water If you turn right, there’s the new building and the public bath Our room is to the left The hallway lighting is slightly dim The door locks automatically It’s 100 square meters, sleeps up to 4 people, and is the largest suite available So yeah, it’s so spacious View Bath Royal Suite for 2 guests with dinner and breakfast: 90,200 yen (619.96 USD / €540.24) There are only two of us, but way too many places to sit Where should we sit? Found some welcome sweets It’s a Royce baton cookie! Yay! What’s in the minibar? These mugs are so nice An electric kettle, an ice bucket, and cold water They have capsule-style coffee and tea Oh right, we should check the view from the room too The 16th floor really delivers You get a full view of Jozankei from up here The fall colors are beautiful here, so in October it might all turn orange The sink and toilet are behind the TV There’s a door, but it’s basically one open space with a smooth layout The sink area is so spacious and beautiful—it feels like a celebrity’s house They’ve got combs and other amenities All the basics are covered Plenty of bath towels Not just a hairdryer—they’ve even got a hair straightener The closet in the back looks like it can store a lot There are hangers and a basket for the public baths Oh, here are the slippers Bathrobes They also have lounge wear Too bad it’s not a hot spring, especially with such a nice view Let’s relax in the exclusive Suirei Lounge It’s on the same floor You can only enter with a Suirei card key It’s so quiet. Looks like no one else is here right now The sliding doors in front give it a slightly Japanese touch Oh, they’ve got juices, highballs, and other drinks… But I’m going with a cold Sapporo Classic Beer since we’re here My husband’s getting a cute hot herbal tea You can enjoy your drinks in the lounge Or take them back to your room Here’s what the seating area looks like. Nice Found some snacks! Dried fruits, nuts, and chocolate My husband felt like drinking too, so he grabbed a can of Horoyoi
It’s all-you-can-eat and drink, so let’s enjoy whatever we want While the regular floors tend to have more families and young people, this floor feels like it caters to adults and solo travelers There are fewer rooms here, so it’s quiet This hotel has two large public baths—one in the basement and one on the top floor We started with the one in the basement They alternate by gender (Filming allowed with permission.) The changing room is super spacious There are plenty of dryers and skincare products, too What’s interesting is that from the changing room, you can access not only the bath but also the pool Don’t forget your swimsuit—let’s check out the pool first! Guests can use the pool for free. Swimsuits are available to rent Let’s try this Splash River (Rental boat: 500 yen for 30 minutes) It’s an indoor heated pool, and it’s really huge I heard it’s about the size of 20 tennis courts Time to float down the lazy river Is that a frog? The pool was fun, but now I’m exhausted I really want a soak in the hot spring now So I changed out of my swimsuits and came to the bath! This place is huge too—so many different baths, it’s easy to get lost There are so many shower stations too Waterfall bath, bubble bath, cascading falls… so many types Let’s try the open-air bath This outdoor bath has a really unique layout You can actually walk through the water It’s huge! Just how much water do they use? The spring water here is sodium chloride-based It helps with nerve pain, muscle aches, and keeps your skin moisturized The fresh air and the view outside The green leaves are so refreshing. Feels amazing The sauna was recently renovated. I’m curious about it White Steam Sauna? So white! So steamy! So hot! Woody Sauna It’s hotttt Wow, it smells so good—like wood It feels kind of artistic. Really beautiful Instead of an outdoor rest area, there’s a cool room at 10°C That’s pretty interesting The other bath, which alternates by gender, had a unique ancient Roman vibe The days are getting longer—it feels like summer is starting We watched the sun set behind the mountains from our room Tonight’s dinner is a French-style course with Japanese and Hokkaido touches >> Staff: Welcome >> Staff: Been expecting you! Right this way, please It’s a semi-private room with tatami floors, and you remove your shoes The seating has a Japanese-French mix, just like the dinner I ordered sparkling wine My husband went with non-alcoholic wine A colorful appetizer Grilled cherry salmon from a volcanic bay in Hokkaido Topped with trout roe The Flatfish. Most of the ingredients are from Hokkaido—mainly seafood and vegetables The bread is so good! >> Staff: Here is your next dish >> Staff: This dish features foie gras >> Staff: It’s coated in breadcrumbs—crispy outside, moist inside >> Staff: I’m afraid I have some… difficult news >> Staff: It’s dangerously delicious. Be careful Underneath the foie gras is a risotto with fava beans and Hokkaido rice Look at how moist it is Warm and melt-in-your-mouth Truffle-infused olive oil That just makes it even better They serve Japanese kaiseki too, but I’m glad we chose the French course this time >> Staff: This soup features four cooking methods using fresh onions >> Staff: It’s a soup made entirely with onions They said the onions are from Kitami City, Hokkaido It has a gentle sweetness that’s so good I think onions might be my favorite vegetable What’s your favorite vegetable? Next up was Ezo abalone It’s tender inside, but still full of flavor and has a nice grilled aroma You dip the crispy yam into a white wine sauce with sea lettuce A perfect example of Japanese-French fusion, and it’s good Time for my next drink Yep, I went with Japanese sake Because the next dish is Wagyu beef >> Staff: Here is your main dish >> Staff: We have Tokachi sirloin steak >> Staff: It comes with a ponzu sauce with grated radish and a hint of chili It has fat, but the sauce makes it refreshing and easy to eat Bamboo shoots with champignon duxelles The food is of course delicious But the plating, the atmosphere, and the staff make the whole experience even better The steak was seriously tasty >> Staff: Now for the final course >> Staff: When you think of Hokkaido… >> Staff: Yes, you think of ramen >> Staff: This ramen is a little different. It’s carbonara-style >> Staff: We’ve prepared three kinds of condiments >> Staff: Please enjoy experimenting with different flavors It’s miso ramen with a creamy chicken broth base Since it’s ramen, let’s slurp it up It’s so good! Let’s try the condiments too This one’s grated cheese Even though it’s carbonara-style, it’s not too heavy and really easy to eat It was the perfect way to end the meal >> Staff: Here is your dessert >> Staff: A warm dessert called fondant surgelé, made with cherry blossoms >> Staff: But that’s not all for dessert—actually… >> Staff: There’s one more >> Staff: Surprised? >> Staff: Out of the smoke comes matcha ice cream and fruit >> Staff: Please enjoy the contrast between warm and cold desserts Wow, you can already tell how gooey it is when cutting into it The pink cherry color is so pretty—and it smells amazing The cake is chewy and good! It was such a fun and delicious meal from start to finish. Thank you Now we’re at the arcade on the first floor I really want that shimaenaga bird Ahhhh! Well, it’s not gonna happen on the first try Hmm… Not giving up yet! I won’t give up! Ugh, still no luck. Tear One last try So happy! I got it! It’s so cute! 800 yen… We brought some drinks from the exclusive lounge back to the room Yeah, it’s lemon sour this time Since the lounge is so close, we’ve basically been sipping drinks the whole time It’s nice to have a day like this sometimes Good night Good morning Early summer in Hokkaido feels warm and gentle The cherry blossoms are just finishing their bloom It’s almost time for breakfast We’ll be eating at the same restaurant as last night Salted sockeye salmon and salmon roe—classic Hokkaido flavors Miso soup It looks like a traditional Japanese breakfast with sashimi and ohitashi (blanched spinach) But there’s also chicken confit—a unique breakfast mix It’s not overly complicated—just delicious Looks like the bouillabaisse is ready and warmed up Lots of veggies like broccoli and okra The round white thing is tofu The rich broth really warms you up, and the tomato adds a nice tang Looks like the clay pot rice is almost ready So shiny! Nothing beats the joy of eating delicious white rice The Western influences fit naturally, creating a perfect balance in this breakfast It’s packed with Hokkaido ingredients too, so it satisfies your Hokkaido food cravings >> Staff: Here is the French-style main plate >> Staff: A soufflé omelet, sausage and bacon >> Staff: The omelet and bacon go great with the bread >> Staff: We also have jam and butter available This soufflé omelet is so fluffy—it’s like a cake and tastes gooood I didn’t expect toast to be served here! I’m completely full Time for the final dessert >> Staff: Today’s panna cotta is served with fruits like apple mango and kiyomi orange There’s also yogurt This is the most filling breakfast I’ve had so far After breakfast, we headed to the 16th floor of the new building for a morning bath The big windows offer an incredible view As expected from the top floor Of course, this is an onsen too Feels amazing The open-air bath alternates by gender, and it looked like this Iced cocoa from the exclusive lounge Other shared spaces like the public baths can be used by all guests, not just those staying in the Executive Suite The exclusive lounge and top-floor rooms are the highlights of the Executive Suite For those who want to relax, the Suirei Executive Suite is highly recommended Thanks so much for watching If you enjoyed the video, please like, comment, and subscribe See you next time!

всё, что необходимо есть!
How cool! We have stayed at this hotel some time ago in a regular room. I didn't even know they had an exec floor. Glad they renovated the sauna area. I remember the water zone was pretty good and very relaxing.
This one looked like a movie
Tattoos??? Please mention this in all of your Onsen videos. 🙏🏻 thank you very much for considering doing this. ❤
Le fois est très bonne pour les femmes quand elles sont mensuelles donc le fois est très riche en fer. J'ai goûté et je ne suis pas très fan. Mais il a l'air bon
素晴 Thanks 🌷🌹
Зачем номер 100 метров-поспать в нем?
All I could think of when I first saw that water slide was "Oh no, she's going to shoot across the room like a cannonball again, isn't she". That dinner host has some serious flash going on!!
13:02 red or the blue which pill would you choose
Nice video! This hotel is really good, I love the parfaits, the Lagoon, the onsens, the french dinner (especially the french dinner), and the Japanese breakfast!
Sizi beğenmemek mümkün değil
❤ 🧅
Wou,menudo hotel,y esa suite,tan espaciosa,es más grande que mi piso.Me gustaron mucho los baños,y el salón privado y sobre todo,la comida.❤
Lovely tour and the food looked exquisite too 🎊
These onsen hotels are palaces in tune with nature.
Так здорово, что вам удалось получить игрушку!)
Too many onsen videos. So boring. Do something new for once!
I like how the staff explain the parts of the meal to you. Most of it looked good.I was rooting for you and you won the bird. Those machines are frustrating but addictive. The various baths looked nice too. Can I assume the water temps were varied? The pool area looked fun too. No people though. Was it a weekday? Thanks for sharing this trip.
Your waiter who served your meal at night had a funny sense of humor!!!😂😂. An absolutely amazing video as always!! Thanks for sharing!!!!🐰🐰🤗🤗🤗🤗💐💐💐💐🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹😍😍😍😍💕💕💕💕💕💖💖💖🌈🌈🌈🌈😘😘😘😘😃😃😃😃
This resort looks wonderful, especially the onsen and the pool. The food seems also to be very good there, and the server you had at dinner is very attractive ;-). I havent been to Hokkaido yet, but I would like to go. What do you think, is May a good month to go there ? We dont mind if there is still snow and if its cold. Also, as we both dont drive, we have to rely on public transport. Is that okay in Hokkaido, or would we have to miss out on many places if we cant self-drive ?
My favorite vegetable is parsnips!
You two always find the most fun and interesting ways to present things. I often watch your travel vlogs just before going to sleep to make me relaxed and joyful. Thanks so much and blessings to you.
No!don't change the music! Your theme song is iconic!!!
每次看你們的影片都感覺像是環遊世界,期待更多精彩內容!
There was nothing in the way of food for your dinner that resembled anything French
Nice to see your husbands hands more lol 😊
Seriously awesome fusion food, my favourites being the onion, carbonara ramen… And last but not least, the foie gras croquette!!
Felt the host was talking to me, because I would have been in serious danger right then.
Nagyon szép szálloda. Az ételek szuperek lehettek. A kiszolgálás remek. Hangulatos étkezőben. A fürdési lehetőségek nagyon jók, kényelmes gyönyörű kilátással. Köszönöm hogy láthattam a videót. 🥰🥰🥰
NANI? New soundtrack?
18:55 loading cutscene…
I love starting my mornings with your videos, please never stop!
What's with the loud music during dinner? AND breakfast???
I love your channel, such an escape.
my biggest dream is to receive a reply to a comment. I look forward to the next maid video, greetings from Italy
I just loved the staff. Your videos are pretty immersive, I loved them too.
Love the new drone footage! It's nice to see the area around where you are staying from a different perspective.
I miss the original opening music. Please bring it back. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
where is my favorite bgm ..?
That onion soup looked so delicious! I love so many veggies but my favorites are potatoes and broccoli. Maybe simple but always good. Onions and garlic though go with any savory food.
Oh i forgot to mention those parfaits at the beginning were so super duper cute!!! Kawaii to the max!

Thanks again for another lovely video! Made my Canada day weekend 😁. And my favorite vegetable, I like too many to choose just one, but I like onions too!
美しいビデオ😊
Can I just be naked in the pool since I'm already on the way of the bath? 😅
Beautiful. I wish I could stay there. Greetings from Canada.
