水戸の偕楽園の後は、一路本日のお宿である”古民家の宿 庄や山口”へ向かいました。温かいお出迎えにほっこりした後は、五右衛門風呂で体もぽかぽかになりました。次の朝、母屋でいただく和朝食も素敵でした。そこから車で約４０分走り、陶芸の里にある笠間稲荷神社へ。参道には多くの出店が並び、ここも古き良き昭和の佇まいです。参道や仲見世通りの出店を堪能した後は、歴史ある風格の笠間稲荷神社を参拝。その裏手にある山城出世稲荷神社では、管理をされている方の好意で、中に入って撮影させていただきました。小腹がすいた後は参道に戻り、珍しい和栗を使ったスイーツを堪能。最後に、今での約３００の窯元を有する国内屈指の陶芸の里である笠間焼を見て回り、お気に入りの一品が増えました。今回は、古き良き昭和時代を彷彿させる、ノルタルジックな一日となりました。

城山出世稲荷神社は、茨城県笠間市に鎮座する神社です。創建年代は不詳ですが、当初は佐白山の山頂付近にあり、城山新左衛門稲荷と呼ばれていました。鎌倉時代初期に笠間城が築かれた際、現在の地に遷座したと伝えられています。江戸時代には新町造営に伴い、城下町の守護神としても祀られました。特に出世、子育て、進学、興産などに御利益があるとされ、地元で篤く信仰されています。
