VOLANDO LA BUSINESS CLASS DE TURKISH AIRLINES EN EL AIRBUS 350 + VISITA AL LOUNGE DE ESTAMBUL

One thing that did catch my attention was the number of police officers and civilians with machine guns like that. I’m crazy about the self-playing piano… Here comes the chef handing out the menus. Let’s see what we’ll have for today’s flight. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, I’m greeting you from Istanbul Airport, where we will travel today with Turkish Airlines aboard its Airbus 350-900 to Singapore. Before boarding, we’ll visit the Turkish lounge, which is absolutely spectacular. But in the meantime, I’ll leave you with an update on the airport entrance for passengers flying business class or with status with Star Alliance airlines. Welcome once again to Last Call! Well, this is very convenient. It has this exclusive entrance for priority, for business class passengers or those with status and Star Alliance, and so on. It’s a tremendous airport. This entire fabulous space is the Turkish Airlines business class check-in, with water for a troupe of Bedouins… A very pleasant space. They check you in seated. I’ll add some pictures if I could take any, but it’s truly fabulous, a fantastic space. This is the entrance to the lounge. Let’s go up and I’ll show you what it looks like. Next to the entrance, they have this entire area of lockers to leave your bags so you don’t have to move around the lounge with your bags, which is quite convenient. A huge screen, and now I’ll show you the rest of the lounge. They have different types of food outside of the buffet. They have this place, they have that one there. One makes pizzas, the other makes more American-English breakfasts… Look at this, how crazy what they’re preparing here, Turkish-style flat pastries. Mmm, my goodness, this has to be really good. They cut it like a pizza and put the little pieces right next to it… I’m going to try this. He insisted so much that I took it. Something I find very interesting about this lounge is that the food doesn’t come on a cart from a kitchen, but practically everything there is to eat is cooked right in front of you. This is a slightly more Arabic area, let’s say, like a tent but inside the lounge, and here they have any number of teas that you can drink directly from here, right? They’re already prepared and you serve your own cups. Remember, it’s 11:00 in the morning, maybe noon. We’re still eating a lot of Turkish sweets, as you can see, which doesn’t bother me at all. And this is perhaps the area that I personally like the most; it’s like a kind of bar, like a quieter pub, separate from the rest, darker. Here they have lemonade, the same strawberry, various fruits, etc. What I was telling you the other day in the Lufthansa lounge—that is, there are a lot of people looking at, in this case, 12 screens. Well, each screen has a different thing, that’s why you have so many screens. In the Lufthansa lounge, there were three screens, all three with the same content, it’s absurd. I mean, I sit here, for example, and I can watch cartoons if I want, I can watch the news, I can watch sports, I can watch whatever I want. That’s the point of having so many screens, it seems unbelievable. And here, the buffet itself, in this case, with cold cuts, salads, lots of Turkish things, lots of Greek things, which, after all, share a lot of things. This would be a fantastic, super-light lunch, excellent for facing a flight like the one I have to face. Here you can enjoy a flight experience. I did this a while ago at a Lufthansa conference. They put on artificial intelligence glasses and basically fly. And they blow air in your face as if you were flying, the little thing completely freaked out. It has a golf driving range, which is incredible… there are three or four irons and a putter, and you can play here peacefully, which is incredible. These are the suites where you can rest, but I don’t meet the requirements because you have to have a maximum of 9 hours of layover, and I’m here for one day, so I don’t meet the requirements to enter. Here are the rooms; they give you a magnetic key, and you can come and go as you please. Right across the street are all the showers; super spacious, nice. Clean, well-thought-out, with tons of amenities. Look, they have a robe, towels, slippers, a hairdryer… What they don’t have is a shaving kit, which is quite odd. I’ll take a shower and head for boarding. Here’s the number of minutes you walk to your assigned gate. Quite useful and interesting. I’m crazy about the self-playing piano. And I understand that this is my place, since it’s where they serve coffee and have two espresso machines. Look at the views from the lounge, 360-degree views of the entire airport. There you have the door where I entered through security, and on the other side, the rest of the gates. What can I say, the lounge is truly impressive. I didn’t have the chance to spend much time in it , but we’ll come back to try out the rooms, especially the suites, which I really wanted to see. We’re going to D11. I’m running pretty late for boarding. I think there’s almost an hour left because I want to try to get in among the first so I can show them the clean cabin. But, well , I don’t know if it’ll be possible if there will be a lot of people in line, etc. One thing that did catch my attention was the number of police officers and plainclothes people with machine guns like that. I understand that Istanbul is the gateway to Europe and that it’s a complicated time, but less so. If you’re on a long layover, you have three options to rest. You have the Yotel next to the boarding area, you have the Yotel outside, but they also have these sleeping pods, which are basically like boxes where you lie down to sleep. For a nap, it’s not bad; I wouldn’t spend a night there, not even crazy. Finally, we board this gorgeous Turkish Airlines Airbus 350-900, which I’ve never framed. It’s my first time, so I’m quite curious. There are two seats, the first one for business class and the one at the back for economy, so boarding is going to be smooth too. I managed to board first, unheard of. Beautiful business class cabin. The even-numbered seats on this plane are the ones that count, well, they all count, but the ones by the window. See, the odd-numbered ones are by the aisle? Look how beautiful the branding is… I have the last one in the cabin , 8A, even-numbered, right by the window with no neighbors around. I don’t have much light now because I have the economy seat here behind me. Economy is boarding, and the seat goes right up against my windows, but I’ll try to show you anyway. The seat in front, which is an odd-numbered row, faces the aisle. This is my seat, which has a window and a half, let’s put it that way, and is half a meter away from the aisle. This cushion, the amenity kit, and the noise-cancelling headphones are already in place on the seat, which I’ll show you in detail later. In this “stuff rack,” as my friend Fabio Vilela calls it, a stuff rack is a place to store things with a code, meaning you can put a security code on it. I don’t think anyone will steal from them here, but anyway, and here’s a little mirror so you can see… Look at the Bacio. Then there’s storage space, here underneath there’s a blanket, and here are some slippers that I’ll show you. This seat doesn’t have any storage space other than the one I showed you, which also has a universal plug and a USB port. This is for storing magazines, but as you can see, it has a bunch of bins. Of course, it’s not the same to have things on the seat as in the bins, but let’s just say that you’ll eventually have space to store things. Look at the logo and look at the textures of this thing, which is like… in my time, I think it was called plush , but I’m not sure what it’s called. These are the lights: this is a dipped beam, a reading light, and another light pointing toward the food, toward the tray, I guess… With this button, they all turn off. This armrest here, if you press this button, lowers, and when this becomes a bed, it’s incorporated into the bed, gaining a few extra inches. Here next to the armrest, we have a menu with quite a few options: turning the TV on or off, calling the flight attendant, do not disturb (which curiously turns blue), three presets for bed, relaxation, takeoff and landing, and overhead lights. And here’s the headphone jack, a remote control for the entertainment system, which can also be operated via touchscreen. It’s a bit difficult, right? Or is it just me that doesn’t work… It doesn’t cost you anything, it costs a little. The foot space doesn’t shrink and feels like it’s long enough. I’ll tell you more when I put the seat in bed mode. There’s a place underneath to put shoes and other items, and I really like having this extra space. What can I say? A foot fits in here and it’s comfortable. They’ve stored all the mattress toppers, duvets, and pillows to make the beds. There are eight rows, four seats per row, 32 passengers… Not bad. Here comes the chef handing out the menus. Let’s see what’s for lunch for today’s flight. It can’t be, it’s unbelievable, these are all the options on the lunch menu. I mean, you choose a starter, a main course, and you choose from all these desserts. These are all the non-alcoholic drinks on the menu, including coffee and chocolates, teas, and typical Turkish products too. This is the breakfast before landing… I can’t name all the options one by one because it would take hours, but hey, here they are. Barely 15 minutes in the air and the lunch service begins, they handed out this nut mix but the funny thing is that first they handed out the nut mix and then asked what we wanted to drink and I’m here with my nuts waiting for my wine to arrive! Now yes, I didn’t get a glass, I got a bucket of 2021 Bodega Norton Argentine wine, a varietal I don’t remember. Of course, it’s delicious. Look, this is what’s missing for the next call to prayer. Muslims have specific times during the day to pray, and this is what’s missing for the next one, 1:46hs Look at the beauty of this setup of spices and oil from Turkish Look what it is, here obviously olive oil, this must be some hot spice, butter, salt and pepper. And this I have no idea what it is… Okay, I found out what this is for and it’s to put the bread that they bring you in a bag and it’s put in here… how cute. And this, which in daylight looks much less good, is a candle for a candlelit dinner. The first thing that arrived was this small plate with three delicacies, three amuse-bouches: this one is definitely meat, this one is vegetable, and this one, I suppose, is cheese. I’ll tell you about it later, come here, my love. Indeed, vegetables and cheese, very delicious . Starters, all of them. I basically ordered a mix of everything except salmon, which I don’t eat, forgive me. And then my main course arrived, a mixed kebab, it’s called. This is eggplant puree , this is the kebab bread, this is beef, chicken, rice, and grilled tomato. Interesting, isn’t it? It’s like a deconstructed kebab. I’m not going to have dessert because I can’t take any more; I’m full, sorry. I’ll show you another day. This is what happens to me for having an easy answer. The flight attendant came and convinced me to order the Turkish desserts, so now I’m in big trouble. I have to eat this and I’m going to sleep like a champion. Oh, and I ordered tea, so I made the whole Turkish delight. Since I’m traveling outside of Spain, you all know I always travel with health insurance. I always, without fail, never travel without health insurance again. I’ve already paid the price I had to pay, so I recommend you do the same, and of course with the best of all, Assist365, which has fabulous discounts, great coverage, and the ability to cancel or modify dates up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. Incredible. I’m leaving you this QR code with a permanent 5% discount code, which can be added to the almost 60 or 65% discounts on Assist365’s regular promotions. Clearly, I don’t travel without data either, because how do I record these videos and upload them if I don’t have data on my mobile phone? Easy peasy, I buy an Airalo eSIM, which is one of the best eSIM companies on the planet and has incredible prices . With this code you can also get a permanent 10%. Amidst a bit of turbulence, we finished the dinner service, which was absolutely fantastic, 2 hours after takeoff, so we have 7 hours left… actually, 6 hours to rest, and then a light breakfast before landing in Singapore. The lavatory was pretty good mid-flight, with some pee on the floor here and there… I’m interested in the black color. The same amenities as yesterday’s A330, both the perfume and the cream. hand soap and like the air freshener, a mirror to make yourself look bigger… Here you can see the… the flaws, the hairs… Well, very nice, and most importantly, Yes! God, aviation is changing radically. This. I already have my bed made, look how wonderful. They left me a little bottle of water now I’m going to take a nap. I’d be interested in sleeping for 3 or 4 hours to arrive in Singapore very early in the morning fresh. My bed and I say goodbye, see you at breakfast, goodbye! Well, you know how I wake up in the middle of the night. I went to order a cheese plate that luckily was left from the dessert menu, so I’m going to finish this up, I’m going to get some work done on the computer since I’m already awake, and in a little while we’ll see you at breakfast. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, we’re flying over southern Thailand right now, I don’t know if you can see well there. The first course of Turkish’s breakfast arrived, which is some cheese with olives and such. Then there’s some kind of cereal, if I’m not mistaken, and one for cheese with a sweet, fresh fruit, the fabulous salt and pepper shakers, and apparently there’s espresso, but I’ll order it when the pastries arrive. For the main course, there were scrambled eggs , and I don’t remember what else. I chose this smoked turkey and cheese sandwich. I also ordered a croissant, orange juice, and now an espresso. Let’s see how it is; the cup alone is enough for me. Let’s try it. It could definitely be worse, 100%. These are the incredible noise-canceling headphones that Turkish provides , which I didn’t show you because I was working and sleeping the whole flight, but they’re super sturdy and super good. Let’s check out the Lanvin amenity kit. Look how pretty, quite simple but of good quality. It has this pretty sturdy eye mask, black socks, earplugs, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and from Lanvin, as we mentioned before, they have a lip balm and a moisturizer, which is pretty good. It’s so hot outside that as soon as we landed, all the windows fogged up… Uh, how cold! Air conditioning blasting from here, and I left with nothing. Anyway, now I’m off to my hotel in the city center and I’ll tell you about this experience with Turkish. There’s no airport in the world that I love as much as this one; it’s absolutely extraordinary, and that’s not a good enough word. I urgently need one of these for my home. Now that I’ve got Singapore under my belt, let’s reflect a bit on this flight, which, in a word, was excellent, fantastic. This is much more like the Turkish one we have idealized. It really changes a lot when the plane is a plane like this, a new 350-900, an impeccable cabin, extremely comfortable seats, fantastic food throughout the flight, and exceptional crew performance. Just like on the Barcelona-Istanbul flight, I remind you, the truth is that on that flight everything failed except that. The crew was excellent, and this time was no exception. With that said, I send you all a big hug. I hope you’re all doing well wherever you are. As always, I invite you to subscribe to the channel below, which is very important to me. Give it a thumbs up if you enjoyed this video. We’ll see you all very soon on another adventure. I send you all a big hug from Singapore, Singapore!
