【女ひとり旅】癒しの鎌倉満喫プラン|行列白玉スイーツ・生しらす御膳&竹林・由比ヶ浜・人気名所巡り

I’ve arrived in Kamakura. A heart-soothing journey in Kamakura begins. At the entrance of Komachi Street… …is the famous “Iwata Coffee Shop.” Their specialty is a hotcake about 5 cm thick! It’s so popular that people line up in the morning. Next, I’m heading to the popular street food spot “Kamakura Menchi.” My palm feels warm holding it. ✨ Made with premium Hayama beef—pure indulgence. The sweetness and umami of the meat spread in every bite. Passing through Komachi Street to Wakamiya Ōji Avenue. Beyond the second torii gate lies a beautiful tree-lined path. With slow steps, I stroll along this historic path. Now I’ve arrived at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The first thing that catches the eye is the elegant drum bridge. Its beautiful arch shape is truly striking. In the center of the path stands a graceful dance pavilion. It is said that Shizuka Gozen dedicated a dance here in memory of Minamoto no Yoshitsune. Climbing the stone steps slowly, I head toward the main hall. The kanji for “Hachiman” (八)… …is cleverly formed by two doves. Such small discoveries bring a sense of peace. I couldn’t take my eyes off the beautiful dance pavilion. Now I’ve come to Hōkoku-ji Temple. Looking up to the sky… I’m surrounded by tall bamboo reaching upward. It feels like I’ve stepped into another world. ✨ At the teahouse deep in the bamboo grove… …you can enjoy matcha tea and traditional sweets. Savoring matcha in such a quiet space—pure bliss. At my feet, I even spotted a tiny bamboo shoot. It made me smile with joy. Back again to Komachi Street. Time for lunch at Akimoto, a traditional eatery. Today, I’m lucky—raw shirasu (whitebait) is in season! The interior is softly lit and very calming. The first dish was cheese tofu— Rich cheese flavor with a refined taste. Kamakura Delights — ¥2,860 Today’s special is “Kamakura Delights,” a seasonal selection. First, a bite of the freshly caught raw shirasu. Its natural umami fills the mouth. Next, I add a little soy sauce… It sharpens the flavor and creates a new depth. The boiled shirasu is also fluffy and delicious. Here come the tempura of Kamakura vegetables. They’re gently fried to bring out the natural taste. Is this turnip? So juicy and fresh! Lastly, I pour a soft-boiled egg over everything… It becomes a luxurious version of TKG (Tamago Kake Gohan)! This was a special lunch where I could taste the blessings of Kamakura with all five senses. Walking through Komachi Street again… …into a quiet residential area. The famous sweet shop “Sabō Kirara.” It was packed again today—I waited 40 minutes to get in. Soft light streaming through the big windows made the space so comforting. Uji Matcha Cream Anmitsu — ¥1,000 I chose their most popular dessert. The shiratama (rice dumplings) are freshly boiled to order. Still warm—soft and fluffy with a chewy texture. Rich Uji matcha syrup. Sweet, gentle red bean paste. The tartness of apricot. And cool, slippery kanten jelly. Afterwards, I enjoyed a relaxing cup of kelp tea. This dessert was a perfect treat for my Kamakura journey. Such a happy and sweet moment. I hopped on the Enoden train from Kamakura Station. I got a front row seat—what a thrill! Watching the tracks ahead made my heart race. The unique Enoden scenery is one of the best parts of the trip. Got off at Hase Station. Kamakura Daibutsuden, Kōtoku-in I came to see the Great Buddha—Kamakura’s symbol. His calm posture helps bring peace to the heart. A gentle breeze seemed to pass through the window in his back. In the soft wind, I silently joined my hands in prayer. A moment of quiet healing. Now I’m at Hasedera Temple. On the stone steps, I spotted something adorable— A smiling “Good Match Jizō” statue! It’s said that praying to it brings good relationships. I pass through a tunnel of trees on my way to the main hall. In the main hall, you can see one of Japan’s largest wooden Kannon statues. From the observation deck, you can see Kamakura’s ocean and town. Even the Miura Peninsula can be seen in the distance. I also stopped by the sutra repository. Near the bamboo grove beside it, I found another Good Match Jizō! Its gentle smile stood quietly in the greenery. I wonder if there are more Jizō statues around? I was comforted by the peaceful expression of the “Nagomi Jizō.” It was quietly welcoming visitors near the entrance. The final stop of my journey—Yuigahama Beach. A gentle seaside view, different from a sunny day. On a cloudy day like this, I found calm, peaceful moments. Thank you so much for watching to the end.
