⁴ᴷ Gifu: Takayama Station (岐阜県: 高山駅) – Japan Walking Tour (May, 2025)
Last month, I refrained from taking any long trips, but with the weather gradually warming up, I decided to set out on a journey this month to the Noto Peninsula on the Sea of Japan side.
This time, I traveled from Kanazawa through Toyama and headed to Takayama in Gifu Prefecture. What struck me first was the sheer number of tourists—most of whom were clearly from overseas. Almost everyone I passed seemed to be a visitor, and I saw very few locals. If you watch the video, you’ll notice that I hardly came across any local residents at all.
That said, the town still had a decent amount of energy even after dark, which left a good impression.
