We bring you Kanda Matsuri 2025. It used to be called Tenka Matsuri. Kanda Matsuri is one of Japan’s three major festivals, held every other year in early May at Kanda Shrine in Tokyo. The next one will be in May 2027. This time, we will be bringing you the “Tsuke Matsuri” (Festival of the Floating Arts) and “Mikoshi (Portable Shrine),” a unique costume procession that has been hugely popular since the Edo period (1600s). The highlight of the festival is the giant Baku and samba team from Tokyo University of the Arts, which won an award in the portable shrine parade. Thank you for watching until the end.

昔神田に勤めてたことがあって、地元出身の同僚が「神田祭で御輿を担ぐ」といって息巻いてましたが、それを見物できず今に至ってますので、初めて祭りの様子を見れて嬉しいです。ありがとうございます。
