🏞️ Onioshidashi Park is a magnificent lava rock formed by the great eruption of Mt. Asama in 1783. You can enjoy a panorama view of large and small rocks with a rugged surface.
👟 It boasts a very vast area of 6.8 square kilometers. There are various routes, from light to long, so you can enjoy a walk according to your mood.
👹 The name “Onioshidashi” (means “the ogre is pushing out”) comes from the legend that the mountain erupts when the ogre living on Mt. Asama gets angry. And when Mt. Asama actually erupted in 1783, a large amount of lava flowed out, and the people who saw the scene thought it looked like an ogre was pushing the lava out.
When you are there, you can certainly feel the muddy atmosphere as if an ogre really lives there.
🙏 The “Asamayama Kannon Hall” stands tall at the top.
It was built to pray for the souls of the victims of the 1783 eruption. It stands alone, bright red, in the gray lava, exuding a very solemn atmosphere. The view from there is exceptional, making it a perfect photo spot.
🌸🍂❄️You can enjoy this park throughout the year. Spring to summer with fresh greenery and alpine plants, leaves changing colors in autumn, and snowy scenery in winter.
📝We visited on a weekday morning in January, and there was hardly anyone around, so we had the wonderful view all to ourselves.
I highly recommend it as a beautiful hidden gem in winter.

溶岩帯が一帯に広がる圧巻の大パノラマが楽しめる鬼押出し園。
🏞️鬼押出し園は、1783年の浅間山の大噴火により形成された壮大な溶岩帯。世界3大奇勝の一つに数えられており、表面がゴツゴツとした大小の岩塊が一面に広がる光景が見られます。
👟6.8平方キロメートルと、とても広大な面積を誇ります。ライトなコースからロングコースまでいろいろなルートがあるので、自分の体力などに合わせて散策を楽しむことができます。
👹「鬼押出し」という名前の由来ですが、その昔浅間山に住んでいる鬼が怒ると山が噴火するという伝説がありました。そして実際に1783年に浅間山が噴火すると、大量の溶岩が流れ出て、その光景を見た当時の人々は、鬼が押し出しているように見えたことから名付けられたと言われています。
確かにその場にいると、鬼が住んでいるようなドロドロとした雰囲気がありました。
🙏頂上に大きく聳え立つのは「浅間山観音堂」。
1783年の噴火による犠牲者の冥福を祈り、建設されました。灰色の溶岩の中にポツリと真っ赤に聳え立っていて、とても荘厳な雰囲気を漂わせていました。また、そこからの眺めも格別で、写真スポットとしてもぴったり。
🌸🍂❄️四季折々の楽しみ方があり、春から夏にかけては新緑や高山植物の数々、秋には紅葉、冬には雪景色など、いつでも楽しむことができます。
📝私たちが訪れたのは１月の平日朝でしたが、ほとんど周りには誰もおらず、素晴らしい景色を独り占めすることができました。
美しい冬の穴場スポットとして、とてもおすすめです！
